HEROES WAS SO GOOD OMFG

So the younger brother is a Mimic, and can quite possibly be one of the strongest Heroes of them all, is what I am getting from the story so far.

The 1st painting that he is looking for is the one of Hiro fighting the huge statue, I am pretty sure. It appeared for a little bit on the first episode.

Peter says "that's weird, I was just having a dream about your dad". When Ando & Hiro are in the airport, Hiro says he needs to find someone that can say it in English, Ando says it in English, Hiro looks at him baffled, and Ando says he'll teach it to him phonetically. I believe that's where Hiro's English lessons started.

I'm also expectationless. I like to see what happens week to week in any show. I like to try to notice little things to incorporate what I think might happen next, but I hadn't noticed the symbols.

Edit: Actually I think it might have been when they got to Vegas, but it was early in their trip.

As for Peter, in this week's episode, not only did he say he could fly in his dream to start the episode, but he also threatened his bother with flying when they were eating brunch. I am not saying he doesn't realize what his true power is but I am saying that he sure doesn't act or talk like it.

1) he was dreaming, also it might be a residual projection of Hiro and Issac's powers, since it seems like Simone's father also experienced it.

2) he knows what his powers are now pretty much, but Nathan doesn't know. he also knows when he's next to Nathan he actually can fly, so that's the "threat" he's using and it's not an empty threat either.

I thought of those points too which is why I tried to be careful in my wording by saying "seems to." He has yet to out-right say that his true power is copying (or w/e it's called.)

My hugest gripe about the whole show: the son finding the book in the laptop, etc all just seem so scripted, and there arent really that many "Oh shit!" moments beside maybe Hiro coming back from the future.

That's what I mean. There is too many forced scenes used only to give us a pretty dialogue like the one between the cheerleader and her brother. These really don't flow smoothly and make the show really cliché and become predictable.

Like layoneye said, there is too many coincidence and not enough character driven action. Lost also had many "coincidences" in the flashback, but the whole show is about destiny/faith, so it's not like they are breaking away from the main theme.

Also, why would anyone freak out in front of someone with super power? Well, maybe mind reading, but I know 90% of the people would say "coooool" if they saw someone with healing factor or flying.

Its a TV show with a dude who can stop time and another dude that can fly. Why is everyone being picky about it seeming scritped and not realistic?

Because we arent talking about the same kind of "unrealistic". I'm sure no one has any problem with the "magic" part of the show (even if it's illogical that your dna allow you to fly). People are mostly annoyed with illogical behavior and the unprobable sequence of realistic event that happened. I suppose we could say it's "destiny", but destiny shouldn't make people dumb.

I wouldn't think he'd need to come out and say his power since it wasn't relevant to the scene with Nathan. He can't really show someone he can mimic if the person he mimics is unwilling to also reveal their abilities. So, his power at the moment to an outsider is whatever he is mimicing. In context, he'd have to say that he'll show off that he can fly.

I'm not sure about that. People who watch alot of sci-fi sort of things may not have an adverse initial reaction, but I can imagine quite alot of people having problems with seeing someone with super powers especially those who are very religious.

Someone religious would just call it a miracle, wouldnt freak out. I could see a 40 years old woman freak out, but the cheerleader's brother reaction was retarded.

Some may call it a miracle and some might consider it a power of demonic nature I think. Overall, it would depend on which power it was, but I somewhat agree that quick human regeneration shouldn't freak someone out too much.

Didn't he say he could mimic people when he was talking to Mohinder in Mohinder's apartment? I don't remember the exact conversation, but I know he mentioned being able to fly around Nathan, and drawing the picture of him and Nathan on the roof when he was around Isaac. I thought he put 2 and 2 together there and said that he was a mimic.

anyone noticed this from the episode where future Hiro visits Peter at the end and gives him a message, it gives u a hint that Peter's power is to mimic others power.

why did Hiro visit Peter instead of other people?
mainly because Peter can mimic his power so he wouldn't freeze like other people.

I love Claire's dad, he's one of my favorite characters in the entire show for some reason.

Too much Mohindar not enough Claire in this episode. And the best thing about this episode were the scene for next week. HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS CRAZY.
