    nothing, basically

hiro was wrong all along: the future hiro thought sylar was the bomb, so the "save the cheerleader, save the world" motto was to help him kill sylar
Sylar is still the guy that wants to take over everything. For all we know sylar took the "mystique" girls powers before the explosion took place, morphed into peter's bro, and convined him to do it.

They are all identical until October 4 when future-Hiro (from timeline A) visits Peter on the subway inducing timelines B and C. Then B and C diverge whatever day it is now that present-Hiro returns to present time, a week before the election I guess. Every episode we've seen in season 1 up through episode 20 takes place in timeline B, including latest episode, with the exception of the first time present-Hiro travels to the day after the election, where he presumably sees future timeline A, and the first few pages of comic 29 where future-Hiro saves that girl from the cops. Future-Hiro only knows timeline A but when he returns from the past and encounters present-Hiro and Ando in Isaac's apartment he's now in timeline B.

It seems like A and B are very similar with subtle differences. For example, in timeline A Claire is dead, while in timeline B everyone just thinks she is (except Bennet and Parkman). In timeline B Peter blows up but everyone thinks it's Sylar. In timeline A who knows, it could have actually been Sylar who exploded or it could have also been Peter. Timeline C is what happens in episode 21+ now that present-Hiro visits the future and returns with Isaac's last comic and some knowledge of future events. Does this sound reasonable?

That sounds about right. This whole time travel thing can really make or break the plot though. If it gets too confusing it will lose alot of people. But that whole timeline scene in Isaac's apartment confused me up until the point Suresh started explaining it.

I was wondering up until the end how Hiro would have ended up in the same timeline as future Hiro if the past had been changed. But my understanding from all this is future Hiro can experience different timelines himself? He seemed surprised to know that Claire lived if I remember correctly.

Or was it just because he thought she was dead, he didn't know that that had occurred when he came back?

Sylar was never the bomb. Peter was the bomb in the future scenario, and as far as we know so far, he's still the bomb in the present scenario.

The future scenario is the natural outcome of the present scenario we have witnessed up to now. Which means right now Peter is the bomb unless present-Hiro and Ando do something about that. But it's very possible that the future which future-Hiro knows has Sylar being the bomb. No way for us, the omniscient third-party, to know because the only person we encounter who has any knowledge of how things would be if future-Hiro hadn't travelled back to encounter Peter on the subway is future-Hiro himself, who believes that Sylar was the bomb, either truthfully because that was the case for him, or falsely because Nathan covered it up as he did in the events that occurred in the 5 intervening years before episode 20.

What would be cool if in the future timeline, Sylar beats Peter and takes dead Hiro's brain and goes back in time to prevent his perfect future being undone.

If you believe the theories, since Hiro was outside space/time when the future 'refreshed' itself, he would have been untouched. Thus he still possesses all of the memories etc of his original timeline in which Sylar was the bomb, blew up, and regenerated using Claire's Power, while at the same time possessing no knowledge of the events that have taken place in his absence.

Sylar was the bomb in the... uh.... past-future scenario. Before Hiro ever went back.

but neither present Hiro nor future hiro knows about peter being the bomb, are their accounts really credible?

Only future Hiro believes this that would have the memory of the timeline. But how do we know he actually saw him blow up?

They should of made this whole "future" episode into two... a lot of plotholes / unexplained things and I don't think they can fit an explanation now that we are reaching the climax.

It's all moot anyhow. Now that present-Hiro and Ando have seen the future, they are gonna change it, so in essence the future is yet to be written. The whole point of this episode is basically just to say "ok, if things continue as they are now, we're fucked, go change them."

Future Hiro doesn't, but present Hiro does. He was present at a couple times when they were talking about it, one of which occured in Issac's apartment.

    - Future Sylar goes to our present...
    - Future Peter shows up a little later...
That would be pretty sick. Kind of DBZ-esque, though.

This show will get way too confusing if that's the case. But it could happen because future Hiro is just laying there dead, and assuming he beats Peter in that fight in the hall, he might just go over to hiro and take his power.

I would think that Sylar would have to kill future Peter in order to get into the room and take Future Hiro's power or even take it from Peter. Either way I don't see both of them happening. One of the two could happen but not both.

Then again, in the previews with Hiro and Past Sylar, Slyar could defeat Hiro and take his powers then...that would be dangerous lol. He could stop time to remove brains.

Also in the previews i remember a scene with Sylar on the floor with blood in front of him...maybe Hiro succeeds? Could be Sylar's mom's blood also.

I bet Sylar's mom has the ice power

Would be interesting if Future Peter goes back in time to kill Present Peter or if Future Sylar goes back in time to protect/help Present Slyar.

On Molly: I don't see her having the power blocking power >_> The Haitian already has that so Thompson wouldn't describe her as the ONLY person able to defeat Sylar. Molly has gotten away from Sylar before, would be interesting to see what she does.

I think the Haitian can only block powers originating in the brain (telekinesis, mind reading, etc.). He couldn't block Peter from flying in the early episodes, which is where my theory comes from.

Molly could be more of a total block, like a kind of "bubble" area around her. Anything that comes into her "bubble" gets their powers blocked out completely. Even better would be if she has the potential to choose who she blocks out.

Speaking of which: Sylar had the ice power for a very long time, it's one of his first gained.

The future timeline is becoming more confusing the more I think about it. Do you think Peter has Claire's power? He has invisibility... but he shouldn't have met Claude(I think that's his name) if he didn't go to the homecoming.

Another thing: There is a chance Hiro went too far back and the Sylar we see in the previews is powerless Sylar.

And I don't think Molly's power is blocking powers. Her parents would probably alive if it was and Matt probably wouldn't have been able to find her since she was trying really hard to hide. It could be something really weird, like "curing" people of their powers, something Mohinder couldn't do with research. It also could be mental, like making people feel pity or something. That would mess Sylar up.

The current future timeline is BECAUSE Peter saved Claire, which is why Claire is alive in the future.
