I honestly think the Haitian messes with people's brains. Like he can turn certain parts off. This explains why he can both erase memories and turn people's powers off. Maybe he makes them "forget" their power. That said, if he focused his power on someone else while Peter watch, then Peter could probably copy his power.

I think the Haitian just sets his own power to an "aura" mode, where he turns off the "X-gene" around him. He can probably turn it off if he wants to.

I'm not exactly sure why people try to rationalize a power as long it doesnt contradict itself. We know he can delete people's memories, and we know he can cancel the "unwanted" power around him.


My biggest question atm is, what would happen if Hiro went back in time to kill Sylar 4-5 years ago before he start gathering power. What kind of impact it would have on the world? >_> Just like future Hiro created a new future, it's not farfetched to think present Hiro could create a new present going back in time.

Because it's possible Sylar already killed someone for their power that could have created a massive event on par, or significantly altered the timeline in another direction. You never know, and I'm assuming Hiro thinks the best option is to kill him at "Zero Hour" so that it is essentially a clean slate moving forward.

My girlfriend brought up a good point, Walker system...like Molly Walker?? Perhaps her power is to track people with abilities. She would know where they all are and could hone in on one in particular. They could use to to find Sylar. This could also explain why Future Hiro was looking for her, he needed to be able to track people.

Yeah, that appears to be the case. Being able to track Sylar is certainly helpful, but the way they talk about Molly in the previews made it seem like she'd be so much more when they say "she's the only one who can stop Sylar".

Unless Hiro went to far back in time to when Sylar first started killing. Look at how he is dressed. Hes wearing what he wore in that one flashback b4 he killed the first person (Sweater vest, and slicked back hair).

Watch the end of the last episode, if I am correct those are the Twin Towers. Also the roof top is a whole lot nicer than when Claude and Peter were training up there. There are plants in the planeterium and it just looks better than it used to.

You know, from that other cutscene that they showed a couple of episodes back, when HRG's boss tells him he needs to take Claire and protect her for the time being, that roof top looks really nice, pretty similar to the one Hiro ports himself into (even though that other scene was a flashback in black/white iirc, but still..)

If he is back in time though, why won't Sylar be afraid of someone with a huge Katana trying to slice through him?

I think the person Claude was hiding was Sylar's Mom or Dad or possibly Claude being Sylar's Dad. This is why he knows of another Empath? It is out there but meh you never know.

Maybe Sylar's Mom has a power and this is where he gets to start killing people.
