Why was Sylar able to resist Eden, but not use his powers with the Haitian present? Seems like if he can override one he can override another. And theory, since it looks like he blew Eden's brains out he won't be able to take her power.

Ok, here's my thoughts on that. I'm thinking he can override anyone's powers, but the Hatian guy has a special psychic shield of some sort that stops them. So it may not be a power really, but.. eh I dunno. Notice when she used her mind-control abilities on him the first time, the Hatian was present. That or he's been playing "I can't use my powers" the entire time until defense was weak and she was the only one left to get to the source of something? Or her..

Well what was odd, was as his brother approached him, it was a very slow approach ( I know it was slow motion too) but he didn't look happy >.> I dunno. Everyone there had a "power" and such, I didn't notice the bomber guy.. unless maybe Peter has had that power all along, but when he gathers with everyone else it activates his power?

Also I think Clarie's "I'm sorry" was because she couldn't save him with her power this time or something.. the cop actually acted like a cop while DL, the two-faced hobag and Micah ran away together..even though she just tried to turn herself in. All so confusing T_T

Much like Akiyama said, it seems the Hatian blocks mental processes. I suppose from far away, he blocks psychic abilities and close up he can prevent the brain from accessing memories.

The Hatian was nearby when they took down Sylar. So you can assume that if the Hatian wasn't there, Sylar would have been able to resist Eden's power. Hatian > Sylar's mental abilities > Eden for hierarchy.

The hierarchy makes sense, but I hope it's explained a little better. I don't like when big things like that are left to assumptions. It also makes me wonder where the cop ranks, since he was able to break the mental shield a little bit.

I got the feeling that he was moving the gun psychicly, but that makes more sense. Kind of curious what other powers Sylar has, since I don't think he's demonstrated any besides telekinesis. I have been wrong though....

Perhaps if Sylar concentrated hard enough to make his noise bleed he could temporarily break through the Hatian's effect. I assume even if he did he wouldn't be able to do it for long.
