And did anyone else think Peter's brother looked kind of evil in the vision?

It looks to me as though he was mad that his brother was about to ruin his life, but he knew what had to be done....aka he was going to try to get close nuff to Peter so he could fly away and no one would get hurt...

I've had it for a little over 2 hours now. It's downloading hella slow though. like off and on and now it's 2kb/s. Not even worth downloading, may as well wait for the NBC Rewind bullshit at 5pm or whenever they upload it.

that rewind thing sucks right when it comes out; either wait half an hour or sleep and watch it later. I made the mistake of watching it immediately last week; it took from 4a.m. central to 7 a.m. to watch all 6 parts, 1 and a half seconds at a time

From everything I've seen, it seems the Haitian is a catalyst of sorts. He's able to filter powers, either dampening or amplifying them. Both the radioactive guy & Parkman said that after their "missing days" their powers seemed more potent.

Also, since Peter is a mimic, could it be that being in the presence of so many heroes will overload his system, creating the explosion/release of energy? Theres that painting Isaac drew of the guy glowing red all energy-beams (pewpewpew) coming out of his fingers or something... It's almost as if Sylar and Peter share similar gifts, just their method is different in gaining the powers... Sylar's is slow, methodical since he's been forcibly taking them from others in order to understand how they work. Peter essentially absorbs powers temporarily, but obviously the really crazy unexplainable biological changes are happening to him very quickly, which is probably why he was getting sick what with Matt, Claire & Nathan being around him in a short timespan...

That's my theory at least. Awesome episode.

The person who is going to die next week is obviously not going to be someone of importance, and the hand that was holding the gun looked to be feminine (if the dead hero commits suicide)... which leads me to believe it's Suggestion Girl. Although interesting, she provides nothing critical to the story and her scenes really mean nothing in the end. Having her drop from the storyline wouldn't cause a major jolt (she already hates where she is... the last thing she did in the present day was convince Isaac to draw another painting under the force of Mr. Bennett).

I definitely called that.

But hlysht what an episode... waiting until Jan22 is even worse than the 24 wait. =(

At first glance, it seems as though Peter comes in contact (or in the vicinity of) with 'splodey man, and blows up for some reason I can't figure out. He has a "mission", so it's not like he hates his life or anything. Also, if you remember back early in the season, when Hiro travels to the future, he already finds Isaac dead in his apartment when the explosion happens, so this rules out the "combined powers boom" that everyone is talking about.

Can'twaitcan'twait. Speculationsssss go!

That's an interesting point. His vision shows Isaac alive, but Hiro's trip to the future shows him dead.

Assuming Peter's vision is a residual effect of Isaac's ability, perhaps it doesn't show the future exactly how it happens, but is meant to get the main point across that he blows himself up.

Also keep in mind that "future" (with Issac dead) was with Claire already dead.

Anyone have thoughts on Sylar being able to use his power again in that room?

If the Hatian were the one keeping him there, it'd be logical to never have the Hatian leave if they intend to keep Sylar locked up. So, what exactly was stopping his power? A device (that Eden disabled w/ the security system)?

I think the Hatian's power is a case of long development. Maybe first he started out being able to erase memory's then learned to use it as a physic block as well as learning to block other's powers.

Possibly explaining to what happened to peter, he can absorb power's while around but maybe later he will learn to use them momentarily while not around the source. That would explain where the vision came from, but It contradicts the vision because if he is able to do that, I don't see the possibility of him exploding because of having too many powers.

It maybe a power overload, but I looks to be starting before he is in contact with everyone. First he runs into saresh who smiles and act's like a friend, but then at seeing something [skin melting/glowing], runs away. At that point he isn't in contact with everyone on the street...
Don't forget that peter is alive in the future even with Clair dead, future hiro implied that so many time's during his visit.

Also, what happened to "Save the cheerleader, Save the world"? She is saved to give peter her power at that moment..(IMO)

Other thought is maybe he comes in contact with the exploding kid unknowingly and is using the residual power on the street.

I don't think Peter's future vision is exact. Honestly, why would Claire be in New York still in her cheerleading outfit? That just doesn't work for me.

As for the Sylar/Eden thing, the whole scene just was really wierd. Eden tried to get him to kill himself, then some sort of fastforward thing happens where Sylar shatters the glass with his forearm. That's mainly what got me. Does he have superstrength or something? I don't understand what happened there.

He probably got that strength from one of the people he previously killed.
