Do you even watch the show? That kid was someone his father had found that could have had powers (See the file he found) and the boy said "I don't find people, they find me." The boy's power is to show people the past in dreams.

Well, I'm sure you know Sylar has the power to read/understand the powers of people. I mean, it couldn't be made any more clear.

However, it seems he can get kind of careless and not check people. It's indicated that he didn't try to check Peter when he encountered him. Otherwise, he would probably have killed him in a more specific way(And Peter might have actually gained the reading ability earlier). He probably did the same with the cheerleader(because of the news reports about her faked heroic deeds), or even only used his power while he was killing the cheerleader, which is why he went for Claire almost instantly after he killed her friend.

We've seen(well, heard) him use the power on Mohinder.

EDIT: Wow, I've been accused on not paying attention while watching the show. (You must have meant Anyway, because you didn't even quote me)

Um, can you explain to me what Sylar's power is then?

I'd like to know why Sylar needs to kill people in order to gain their powers. Does he eat their brains? Or he doesn't? Maybe it's he likes going Highlander on people and wants to be the last one standing?

My personal theory is that he does something insane like fucking with his own brain like he would a watch... like he practically steals parts of people's brains and puts them in his. It's pretty out there, but it's been pretty clear to tell us the person he is stealing from needs to be dead and he needs the brain.

They never specifically say what he does with the brains but I've always assumed he just examines them to see how they work. He was a clockmaker like his father so he just likes taking things apart to see how they work.

As for Peter grabbing the dream ability from Mohinder; I suppose that's possible and in one of the early comics, Mohinder has some crazy dream but in the show they never say he's got a power; just the little Indian kid who finds people.

Yeah, seems like it. He took apart watches because he wanted to see how they worked. I guess he does it with heroes.

However...it could be that it is a step he doesn't need to take. I'm not saying that's the case, but look at the painter who thought he had to be on heroin in order to paint the future. He was mistaken on how his ability was activated. Maybe Sylar is too. Maybe not.

It's the ability to see how things work. Like when you first meet him he's working on watches and after spending time piecing them together he completely understands it and can take advantage of any problem caused within it because of his understanding. So his knowledge of how things work is his power. He's basically an empath that has to kill to gain skill. I don't believe he eats their brains, he just looks to see if anything is different within their brains and if anything he is, he can adapt his brain/body to replicate that situation, thus copying someones skill. He *has* to kill to gain a power, I believe that's the main reason why he's a bad guy. Sure he has a lust for power, but it's mainly a desire to be special. If he didn't have to kill to gain skills I bet you he wouldn't have started and thus would be a good guy.

And it makes sense I remember that show the least because Mohinder fucking sucks. Anytime he's on I lose interest, it's like they knew and decided to save his character by pairing him with Sylar.

Whoever said Nathan was being hidden by invisible dude got me thinking. If Nathan and Peter have powers, doesn't that mean their parents might? Is invisible dude old enough to be their father? Cause their father supposedly commit suicide remember? Maybe he just disappeared.

I still think that Nathan and Peter's dad is Jessica/Nikki's father. I'm thinking the heart attack was just a cover for Jessica killing him in Vegas as revenge.

They better hope what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas then, because I think incest is pretty frowned upon.

What do people think about Hiro's dad's involvement? Is the Japanese company just a Japanese version of prima-tech with hidden rooms etc. or does he do this stuff on the side in other places?

I don't know if it operates like Primatech; I thought of it as just a big investor of "The Company"

Well, it looks like Simone might be working directly for Linderman. She probably is only interested in Peter and Issac because they have powers. That nigra whore!

btw, can anyone tell me what year was it when HRG offed Invisible man?

    7 Years ago... okay... hmm.

    Mohinder's sister? Probably not.

Could be Claire, but not in the same way I'm thinking.

Anyway, could of been an "empath", because well, how else does an Invisible Man protect someone unless that person can become invisible with him.

I'm also wondering about the Hatian's comment...

HRG: Who else knows about Claire?
Hatian: Just you and I, but that will change.
HRG: She wasn't supposed to remember any of this. I gave you specific instructions.
Hatian: I answer to someone who's instructions supercede yours.
    HRG: In this company?
    Hatian: In your daughter's life.

    Any guesses?

Claire's mom is the only thing I can think of.

And what happened to this earlier "empath"? They're clearly the greatest "heroes" if they can get things working well (if they can make things like Claire's healing an unconscious power) so what happened with that person?

I also don't think Nathan is anything more than a flier. If he was an empath I believe he'd be far more interested in his abilities. As it is all he can do is fly and he's emotionally scarred from situations involving flying, so he doesn't like them.
