Anyways, I watched the scene where HRG was supposed to kill Claude again and he infact did fire the gun on the first shot. It's all good.

Someone will undoubtedly correct me if any of this is wrong but...

HRG's boss (Thompson?) believes that the Hatian is the one that was hiding Claire for the past few months. Thompson comments about having to kill another partner (like HRG had to kill Claude (invisible man) before). So, HRG's task is to kill the Hatian and bring in Claire. Instead HRG decides that he'll turn Claire over to the Hatian's care. So, they make it look like the Hatian got the gun away from Bennet, shot him, and erased his memories i.e. HRG attempted to get rid of the Hatian and failed.

Apparently, the Hatian is trying to protect Claire, which is why he didn't erase her memories when told to by HRG. HRG was upset about it when he found that out, but I guess he feels that the Hatian is trying to protect Claire also... just in a different way.

I'm not kidding...I simply asked. Maybe I missed the last 30sec. I just remember seeing Claire cry after seeing him getting shot.

Anyway, do we have any idea how much he deleted? Everything concerning claire, or simply the plan he made to let her escape.
