Why is god's name would they implement a hero with the Haitians power only amplified. Think before you type.

There is the off chance however that the organization takes powers and is able to give them to others. Explains the scene where HRG and the Thompson guy are looking at Ted in the cell and Thompson says, "..and then you know what we'll do (Once we know about his power)".

It seems likely that the Hatian can't do that. So far, we've only seen him block mind affecting abilities such as Matt's mind reading on more than one ocassion and Eden's persuasion. He didn't stop Nathan from flying away nor was he asked to stop Ted's abilities.

I was wondering this the whole time as well. When they rushed the family out of the house, I was wondering why the Hatian didn't just stay next to Ted. Seemed like that would solve the whole problem right there -- he'd be one guy against three in what would have boil down to a fistfight, since nobody would have powers. Instead, the Hatian left the house and things went haywire.

It's the preview shown for next week's episode as someone requested earlier in the thread. I don't think this was mentioned so: if you pause it during Simone's part, you can actually see her dead body behind her. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I thought the chick used her powers to stop him. Then the Haitian came and made him black out. I could be wrong, that was a while ago.

One of the most plausible explanations is that the energy Ted was releasing would have hurt the Haitian before he was able to nullify Ted's powers. Claire on the other hand was unaffected by the radiation + explosions so she could stab him with the tranq.

They didn't name HRG's boss.

I knew I recognized something behind Simone, and Nathan punching Jessica could end badly. >.> Wonder where Claire was taken.. wonder what's going on with Peter? Actually the Haitian didn't make him black out. Eden told him to go to sleep. However without the Haitian there, Sylar may have been able to attack her with telekinesis before she could say anything.

I believe that the Haitian is able to block mental powers (Eden's, Sylar's telekinesis, and Matt's so far).

Clearly HRG can't block Matt's power as shown by this week's episode. However Matt can never read his mind when the Haitian is around.

In the episode where we first learned about Eden's power, the flashback of her in the car where she was captured showed only the Haitian if I remember correctly.

Something was blocking Sylar's power when he was first captured by HRG. It wasn't HRG himself, or else he wouldn't have been captured by Sylar later on. It wasn't something in the building itself, cuz Eden and Isaac could still use their powers.

Nathan was able to fly away when he was captured, although it could be argued that HRG and the Haitian didn't know exactly what his power was, and thus were unable to block it.

The way they were talking, they were making it out to only end up being one season long, period. I hope not. x.x I personally like this, but I'm not sure how they could expand past one season.. (if they end up stopping the big boom before then and what not.)
