It seems likely that the Hatian can't do that. So far, we've only seen him block mind affecting abilities such as Matt's mind reading on more than one ocassion and Eden's persuasion. He didn't stop Nathan from flying away nor was he asked to stop Ted's abilities.Originally Posted by quannum
I was wondering this the whole time as well. When they rushed the family out of the house, I was wondering why the Hatian didn't just stay next to Ted. Seemed like that would solve the whole problem right there -- he'd be one guy against three in what would have boil down to a fistfight, since nobody would have powers. Instead, the Hatian left the house and things went haywire.Originally Posted by quannum

It's the preview shown for next week's episode as someone requested earlier in the thread. I don't think this was mentioned so: if you pause it during Simone's part, you can actually see her dead body behind her. Any thoughts?
He did stop whatever ability sylar was going to use back in the 'save the cheerleader' episode. Probably telekinesis. they could have explicitly said why the hatian didn't and maybe they will, but it remains a hole till then i think.Originally Posted by nivlakian
In regards to your tiny text (why is it tiny anyway), I thought he just meant they were gonna kill Ted, since he was too dangerous to keep alive.Originally Posted by Maguspk
I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I thought the chick used her powers to stop him. Then the Haitian came and made him black out. I could be wrong, that was a while ago.Originally Posted by quannum
However, that does leave the explanation of why Matt's power doesn't work still open. So, Iono. . .
One of the most plausible explanations is that the energy Ted was releasing would have hurt the Haitian before he was able to nullify Ted's powers. Claire on the other hand was unaffected by the radiation + explosions so she could stab him with the tranq.Originally Posted by Byrd
They didn't name HRG's boss.
I knew I recognized something behind Simone, and Nathan punching Jessica could end badly. >.> Wonder where Claire was taken.. wonder what's going on with Peter? Looks like he's in the hospital as well with Simone's dead body, and running from something/someone. Oh lord oh lord I can't wait T_T It's agonizing! I also wonder if Mohinder knows that it's Syler he's going to try and cure, or still thinks it's the guy Syler killed. God, anticipation is killing me.Originally Posted by tsola
Actually the Haitian didn't make him black out. Eden told him to go to sleep. However without the Haitian there, Sylar may have been able to attack her with telekinesis before she could say anything.Originally Posted by Iono
I believe that the Haitian is able to block mental powers (Eden's, Sylar's telekinesis, and Matt's so far).
Clearly HRG can't block Matt's power as shown by this week's episode. However Matt can never read his mind when the Haitian is around.
In the episode where we first learned about Eden's power, the flashback of her in the car where she was captured showed only the Haitian if I remember correctly.
Something was blocking Sylar's power when he was first captured by HRG. It wasn't HRG himself, or else he wouldn't have been captured by Sylar later on. It wasn't something in the building itself, cuz Eden and Isaac could still use their powers.
Nathan was able to fly away when he was captured, although it could be argued that HRG and the Haitian didn't know exactly what his power was, and thus were unable to block it.
I think Mohinder has an idea now about Sylar from what the preview suggests. Also, if I remember correctly Mohinder had a suspecting expression on his face when Sylar was getting all aroused about finding all the other people right before they went to bed.
Man, themore i look at that dude, the more i think it's Helmut.
Also, when Sylar was in pain from his newly aquired super hearing, Mohinder had that look again lol.Originally Posted by ninjafox
Ahh didn't really notice HRG and the girl asking, "Do you have trouble remembering what an assignment is?"
Also it is either HRGs or Hiro's voice when they say, "Mr. Linderman?"
Bah god I am going to miss the best show next week. ;;
It actually sounds like Nathan a bit. And Nathan slapped the hit(wo)man sent by Linderman to kill him earlier...maybe Nathan lets loose and is no longer his controlled self?
It's been confirmed that they renewed it for a second full season.Originally Posted by Akiyama

Well, they'd be stupid not to.
Possibly, maybe we will see how he can beat Nikki with his Empath abilities! >_>Originally Posted by Eaglestrike
That can't be it, they obviously plan to do something with the information they get because they wouldn't have kept Sylar for so long trying to figure out whatever.Originally Posted by Foustian
