I sort of have mixed feelings about a season II. I mean the first season so far is absolutely incredible. Obviously it's a good idea to have a season 2 from a $$$ television broadcast company standpoint, but from a viewer standpoint, I feel a lot of it might be 'forced' or not live up to what was expected in the first season.Originally Posted by Tyche
Either way, the first season (so far) is insanely good, so I sort of wish they would just finish it, and leave it alone, without trying to add anything more to it just because it's NBCs cash cow. However, more power to them if they make seasons II just as good as season one. Then it's win-win for both NBC and the fans.
So far it doesn't even look like they will be able to finish all the mini-storylines in this season (given that this season will last 2-3 more episodes..), which means they could use season 2 to finish the others (and there are quite a lot when you think about it.)
But I'd think the mini-stories would feel like a lot of "filler" episodes. Perhaps not, there's no way to tell how the writers would handle them until we actually see it next season.
So far season one, I only felt like one episode was really slow moving and just felt like dead space. Every other episode has left me begging for next weeks.
Huh wut was shutdown?Originally Posted by Eaglestrike

Gosh, and you're the one bagging on people. . .
I hope they end this saga and move onto the next. Not sure if they can do it in the few episodes left. But, to string it along may be annoying.LIke how "Lost" is getting. . .
The idea that Nathan could be an empath, because his flying has scarred him emotionally and an empath would most likely be far more interested in his powers and controlling them. Nathan just gets scared because he can fly.Originally Posted by Serif
Another possible reason he probably doesn't fly is because he doesn't like heights, in the ep where Peter was gonna jump off the building again to prove he can fly(and ends up floating while arguing with Nathan), Nathan didn't seem to be too crazy about being on top of that building, he was sweating bullets. But obvviously that doesn't stop him when he NEEDS to fly.Originally Posted by Eaglestrike

I thought it was simply because his brother was about to jump off the building...
Wouldn't say that shuts it down, heh. You could explain it that he chose the life of a normal human. Hell for all we know he could be running for office so he could give the heroes a voice, somewhat like in XMen but that isn't likely. I just didn't get the significance of saying something is shot down in a show with a lot of twists.Originally Posted by Eaglestrike

Also with Simone or whatever, I am just wondering if she has an ability like she can molt her body and as long as her body is in one piece and or not destroyed she can come back to life or is it possibly Suresh's power if he has one.
I was reading an article but it somewhat gives away something Simone but I will keep it to myself, it has nothing really to do with what I posted above.
ADMIN EDIT: QUIT IT WITH THE SMALL TEXT UNLESS ITS A SPOILER OF AN UNAIRED EPISODE
simone is almost dead, if not already. She got shot by the painter, remember?
Did that article perhaps say that Simone was like a phoenix? And could revive herself within 24 hours or dying or something?(don't remember exactly) If that's what you are referring to, its HIGHLY unlikely that will be the case, if you checked out the other "spoilers" that article listed, it's all very far fetched.Originally Posted by Serif

make that article lose any credibility it once had, IMO.NBC is talking to creator Tim Kring about a spin-off that would include the Micah Sanders character — it would be, as I’m told, part Punky Brewster, part Silver Spoons and would simply be called Micah! It would be about a precocious little kid with super powers, who uses his powers to become rich and live in a mansion with his toy company mogul uncle (his mom’s soon to be revealed brother) and his girlfriend. Look for this to show up as a summer series in 2008 if all goes according to plan.
Gonna throw this link in here one more time for the people who overlooked it last time. It's the producer of the show's blog. He does an entry every Monday, and it's very entertaining.
