I've said it before, they can't kill Hiro. He is the main source of levity in a show that has "serious business" written all over the other storylines. It's a nice contrast to see Hiro's "Yatta!" versus Peter/Isaac/Nathan brooding and Claire pining to know more about herself.

her grandmother says something like 'For now she is safe, no thanks to you'

"At least now she will be safe" and adds: "But not thanks to you!" which the Haitian answers to with: "Listen, I did all I could. She would've found her own way sooner or later anyway."
