At least it gives us a couple weeks with a couple less RMT to deal with. Tho atm there seems to be a massive RMT army leveling on Ifrit. Never seen so many leveling at one time before.

Been hordes of RMT leveling on gilgamesh as well. It's funny seeing them fighting the same things we are but they're 7 levels ahead of us and we're killing faster... and unlike them, not wipeing.

You probably have 6 different people playing the members of your party instead of 1 guy controlling 6 characters or even more.

I've been leveling white mage lately and I keep getting tells in "english" like.. "raise please." "help raise".

Usually I am very quick to help people and don't mind raising a wiped party next to mine.. but I don't wanna raise someone who I think is a gilseller, but obviously they speak English so they are not gilsellers amirite?

Its really brillant too, because to even answer that question wrong you would have to know English. A Japanese person would probably shoot back with some auto-translate, but these guys don't know how to do that.

I think they just have a cheat sheat of basic English phrases and know to type them out for certain things. They have no idea what htey are saying and when you respond in any form, they even start to thank you like you were actually gonna do it.

i was on my way to BD, and some wierd-named person sent me a tell asking for a raise. I wanst sure if it was a gilseller or not, so i followed them to the person they were talkin about. The dead guys name was something along the lines of "Ygfsjhsdfv", so i was even more suspicious. I just stood there for awhile, and a third person came up and raised (who also had a name like that - seems all three were gilsellers). Afterwards they sent me tells thanking me for raising when i didnt do anything lol.

they didnt give me a reason why i was banned, just those might be a possiblilty and he said if either of those were the case, those are "minor" offenses and a GM would have contacted me about it. This is my first offense in 3 years of playing, so permaban is kinda harsh ya? As for the bazaaring thing, yes i bazaar a lot, but you really have to. Sure some people try to avoid huge tax fees, but what about items that cant be put on the AH? Makes sense to bazaar those no?

Bazaaring isn't against the ToS.

AFK'ing for long periods of time while character still logged in is considered "botting" thats what i was told anyways so idk...

Actually I was untouched the one time they banned the "bank" accounts of the RMT... my mule once had around 200M worth of items/gil combined from Kaboom Sales

It has to be account linking with someone who actually had 3rd-party crap installed... there's no other viable reason.

I seriously don't think 1 banning per month is going to cut it because it doesn't even take 1 month for gilsellers to hit 75. The time one small group gets hit theres 2-4 other groups to take their place instantly. Earlier today there seemed to be about 12-18 gilsellers that seemingly got nuked but 29-30 new ones had already been shifted to sky to take their places.

Naked no. Full AF1 if you don't use many (if any) melees, for sure.

Oh and if you allow any gear up to level 60, and any ah weapons, then it doesn't matter what jobs all can do perfectly fine.

I heard 2 players on our server got the perma boot. Both had krakens, both had speed belts.

3+ years of playing to get the boot in 1 night, so not worth even trying.

Sounds like SE is banning more of the actual crews rather than the banks, which is a good thing. Banning the bank accounts is the cause behind this massive FFXI depression, SE basically erasing years of NPC selling/fish botting/quest spamming/beastmen killing in one blow.

If they wanted to eliminate half of the gil seller crews in one night, they'd just need to write a program that flagged names with 5 consonants in a row without a fucking vowel.

I don't think I've ever seen Phoenix, Carbuncle, or Alexander break 4.3k users at any given time. What I have seen, when I was in a group of six leveling in Boyada, was an alliance of 18 anoned "Agkjlsghscg" names killing my steelshells, and then did a search and saw the usual RMT brigade in the Shrine. Given this, there were 2 exp parties in the Boyada tree, and an alliance of RMTs. 2:3 ratio. The Shrine had their usually alliance + the Dous, 24 people, and I think one linkshell was camping him with two parties, so 1:2 ratio. Right after any banning, do a /sea on Bastok. You'll find about 400 players, and there's usually at most 100? We'll call that a 1:4. Yeah. Banning 3k accounts out of 700k every 30 days is totally the solution.

Thats becasue people want things done but not in the way its being done. Its being done incorrectly so people will whine untill it is done correctly.

This game is so stupidly easy to fix, you would fix the RMT problem, fix the market, and fix all other fults with one fix, the HNMs. Fix this and all the whining stops, the large majority of cheating stops, the large majority of "WAHHHHHH RMT" stops, the market will be fixed due to a flow of items. Its not hard.
