I can't wait for SE to finally give everyone what they "want" and ban all the RMT for good. The whining about a lack of synth materials, expensive meds/food, and inability to still claim *Insert NM here* should be incredibly amusing.

Thats becasue people want things done but not in the way its being done. Its being done incorrectly so people will whine untill it is done correctly.

This game is so stupidly easy to fix, you would fix the RMT problem, fix the market, and fix all other fults with one fix, the HNMs. Fix this and all the whining stops, the large majority of cheating stops, the large majority of "WAHHHHHH RMT" stops, the market will be fixed due to a flow of items. Its not hard.

There are many things that could be fixed with the snap of a finger; RMT is not one of them.

OK, so we go up to Ulli and kick out the RMTers there, same with their usual hangouts. So the game is not RMT free? Nope, they've invaded the crafting market. The only way to get rid of RMT is to make gil and items non-tradeable.

I seriously don't think 1 banning per month is going to cut it because it doesn't even take 1 month for gilsellers to hit 75. The time one small group gets hit theres 2-4 other groups to take their place instantly. Earlier today there seemed to be about 12-18 gilsellers that seemingly got nuked but 29-30 new ones had already been shifted to sky to take their places.

I don't think I've ever seen Phoenix, Carbuncle, or Alexander break 4.3k users at any given time. What I have seen, when I was in a group of six leveling in Boyada, was an alliance of 18 anoned "Agkjlsghscg" names killing my steelshells, and then did a search and saw the usual RMT brigade in the Shrine. Given this, there were 2 exp parties in the Boyada tree, and an alliance of RMTs. 2:3 ratio. The Shrine had their usually alliance + the Dous, 24 people, and I think one linkshell was camping him with two parties, so 1:2 ratio. Right after any banning, do a /sea on Bastok. You'll find about 400 players, and there's usually at most 100? We'll call that a 1:4. Yeah. Banning 3k accounts out of 700k every 30 days is totally the solution.

As a side note, the number of people hanging out in bastok has gone way up since they added chocobo raising. There seems to be about 50 people checking on their chocobo at any given time and at least 25 people afk bazaaring with chocobo goods right outside the stable.

It will put a bandaid on the problem. You fix the end game seen and you fix alot of players bitching, I personaly dont give a damn that gilsellers are farming tree cuttings, and they are already in our crafting market so it wouldnt do anything it already hasnt. Make them so they have to farm and not camp NMs. So much shit is fixable, and yes, rmt is one of them. They will be forced to camp NMs no one elses camp other then fafnir,aspid,kb,sky,ulli[part of sky but omgz...], tiamat, etc.

I have no problem with this. However, they do need to stop saying it supports RMT. If anything, people who don't respect the game are more likely to buy gil I suppose.

Guess you didn't see me explain what they're talking about the last month. So here I'll do it again.

Some 3rd party tools have key loggers and crap like that in them. Person who's spreading that stuff gets your account info. They clean out your account and then sell all your stuff. Given that the person doing this probably isn't on your server where do you think the profit from stealing your stuff goes?

Not all use of 3rd party tools support RMT. However, the more people thinking it is ok the easier it is to victimize someone by taking a popular 3rd party tool, adding a key logger to it and uploading it to the web.

I think most people just can't face it that sometimes SE has our best interests at heart when they warn us not to use 3rd party tools.

The flood of RMT isn't so much because of banned acounts, it's because the cost of gil has skyrocketed and in order to reap the rewards, you need more warm bodies.

Maybe it's different on other servers but (to me) RMT arent really that big of a problem. Maybe I just dont frequent the places that they normally hang out and they still camp the morion/phantom worms but otherwise its not so bad.

Even Ulli camp has RMT every so often but my ls got Ulli pretty much uncontested 2 days in a row and its pretty much always like that now. I've also noticed over the past couple of months that some of the main gil seller accounts just randomly disappear when they used to be on 100% of the time.

Again maybe it's just me because I live in a mental bubble and only venture out for ls outings but meh.

It's pretty much like that on Shiva. They farm me Angel Skins and keep those prices somewhat lower, so I like that. Ulli was a problem but since they patched it they haven't been around much. I think they might have capped on Autumnstones or something, lol. They don't craft, they've shown to Behemoth but rarely win claim, never heard of them POSing around (well, maybe one rumor) etc. Maybe we just have the stupid RMT but they're really not that bad IMO. We still have a ton of new ones coming through, though.

The more warm bodies they need, the harder it'll be for them to blend in.

I swear the best punishment in the world would be making RMT accounts quasi-PvP. That is, they couldn't touch anyone else, but anyone else could hit them.

I'd level more if it meant I could bake one of those Boyhada Tree PT's like overdone popcorn. It'd take the edge off being able to go down there and Chainspell an entire alliance to hell.

IF SE wanted to put a end to RMT they would just make Speed Belt, Kraken Club, O Kote, Strider Boots, Serket Ring, Juggernaut,etc Rare ex. Craftable items like amemet skin would just be added to bcnms or assault so they cant lock a items price. They can also do what they did for emp hairpin, peacock charm and add them to bcnm becuase from what i see they didnt lose much value from this and i doubt these would either. SE banned two of the biggest RMT ls on my server so I went to KA camp today and I see 35 new RMT there lol.

I wonder how many credit cards do they use for the characters they have. Would be cool if they banned everyone on the credit card account lol.

There's some kinda of pre-paid gaming card that you can get but I dont remember where to find the info, nor do I have the desire to search for it atm.
