How? I didn't say only using windower + plugins. I said Windower, last I checked you can use windower with 0 plugins loaded.

I am assuming people are using the plugins that come with windower and load soon as you load windower unless you change it.

FALSE, type in japanese you can very easly be banned for "only using windower" now only using windower and not using any of the plugins is something differnt.

They should ban people for typing in JP that don't know JP.

Well in answer to others, a lot of people still use windower, I bet if you could poll it, atleast 50% do.

People have been banned using windower, but only because theyve used 3rd party tools at the same time.

Theres never been a report of someone being banned for windower only (in these mass bans atleast).

I've been using Windower for well over two years, spoken to numerous GMs in that timeframe, and even been sent Mordion Gaol when someone in my alliance fleehacked, while I had Windower, Distance and TParty plugins on. My account is unscathed: No suspensions. No warnings on my account.

Have you researched it? I think everyone is okay with the idea that they just don't care about Windower. Queue someone saying something about user level root kits and how they are somehow relevant to Windower.

FUCKING READ THANKS, Japanese is most DEFINTLY detectable, and people have been banned for it. If you are on the NA client using JP and someone calls a GM you can and most likly get a warning or suspension or even a banning.

If SE wanted to detect the windower, they could. It's unlikely they have the code in place now to detect it, but they could, or they could add it next patch, or whenever they decide they want to start banning huge numbers of people for running the game in a way that SE should have made it in the first place.

I knew I'd get perma banned. I told my LS to expect it sooner or later. I used FFXIAPP to get 60K Assault Points, about 20 regain/rebirth feathers, turn clipping off to open doors from other side for people, teleport around maps to save time (best use was tele-holla > sea > POS to sealion portal).

Then recently I have been using a strange combination of POS and Clipping to depop and pull mobs. I noticed that if I aggro'ed a mob I wanted and clipped through a wall off of the map it would teleport to me and then I could teleport it to wherever I wanted. Made farming for things easier. Then I could also aggro a huge group of things including an NM lets say, pull it all to camp, let the tank provoke the NM (or whatever they wanted) and I could force all the mobs to depop.

Yeah... I was really asking for a good banning. 6 months strong though!

Actually it is completely detectable. According to Taj windower messes with FFXI's network traffic; it actually causes a certain packet to not get sent. I don't know if he figured out what the contents of that packet was, he just told me it was a garbage packet for now and served no real purpose.

Also, there is code in the FFXI executeable which allows FFXI to see if something is hooked in to it, although it is currently not in use.

You can't tractor for it. I believe you lose the item if you "zone" like you do when tractor is used.

There was a discussion about it awhile back. Several people swear with "lots of powder boots" you can do it, but given the fact that I had a max of 15 seconds to get to the top in order to get a Regain feather I still call BS on it.
