Considering how sloppy their netcode is this surprises me. I wouldn't expect they would have the foresight to add that in. LOL at not bothering to use it though.Originally Posted by Dezzimal
Is it a (relatively) recent addition to the code base or has it always been there?
I can't remember exactly, and I can't access the site at work, but I believe http://www.ffxi-atlas.com may have the location. If not, http://www.ffxiclopedia.org is a good source of info for pretty much anything.Originally Posted by Xanthu

Nope. All my shit came from Dynamis. Dynamis-the last place you can't hack to get the drops you want.Originally Posted by Raineer

God, it's too easy. Someone else can do it.Originally Posted by kawkawkaw

That's not entirely true ... some Dynamis linkshells do (or at least did) pos hack to get to the eye that pops the attestation NMs. >.>Originally Posted by Sixtail
Point. But you can't hack to make it drop so and so.Originally Posted by Sykes
Even just teleport or flee hacks would let a solo BLM blow away all the stones and eyes in Xarcabard pretty easily. Even if you only got 1x100 per 4 runs it'd still be very profitable.Originally Posted by Sixtail

"I POS through Boyhoda so I don't have to use Oils"
- The person who crafted the oils would have had a sale because you would have needed to buy them to walk through.
- You might make a difference in Camping/Claiming Fafnir when he may have pop'd or your LS wiped before you got there.
"I POS'd through town to get to the Auction House faster"
- Maybe someone else would have bought the last xxx item you got because you didn't have to run there.
"I POS so I don't have to use Chocobo's"
- In game expenses are needed to keep the economy balanced. Paying the 2-3k for a Choco adds up over time, it's money that others pay and is expected in the game economy.
These are just a couple, I'm sure others can thing of better ones.
You can't make a Ridill drop either. Raineer's point (I assume) was the claim-botting and POSing to DA, not making Fafnir drop the shit you want.Originally Posted by Sixtail

Windower is NOT detectable. Period. Cliff and Azaril have said this. Do the researh on windower forums. There be number of times this exact topic appeared.
using the IME isn't dectectable nor is distance.dll or TParty.dll or Warpace.dll.
Tparty.dll, distance.dll and Warpace.dll are all Client side plugins. The only way for SE to see that you using those is if they get into your computer and monitor your computer. Which last time i check that is against the law....
For the IME, just say like stated before you had a japanese friend over and you used their POL.
period.

Seriously, even if you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about computers you should know that a lot of patchs the windower breaks in interesting ways, like DCing at the warp taru or even more exotic ways, which are 100% detectable without resorting to code specifically to detect or defeat the windower.

I believe that the MP/TP of party/alliance members would not be something that SE would send to everyone in that alliance, so it would be an additional request sent by your computer asking for the additional information. Just a hunch, but if I were making a game that can run on 56k, I wouldn't include all that useless information.Originally Posted by Nighty
