Aren't like Recluse spiders the ones that can be found anywhere, but they almost never bite? I might be thinking of a different spider or w/e... either way, fuck that.

Yep. A quick search in wikipedia reveals that they live in most warmer areas worldwide. There are 13 different species of recluse spider in the United States and they are not agressive and hardly ever bite.

Maybe the people that reacted badly after being bitten are allergic to them. Either way, I'm gonna be pretty freaked out about normal looking, non daddy long legs, spiders now

We have brown recluses where we live (Kentucky). If they do bite, it can be fatal

No. It eats EVERYTHING. Skin, tissue, muscle, bone if left untreated..

I was bitten by a recluse on the back of my leg about 5 years ago. I had to go to the hospital every day for a week so that they could flush out the wound. I still can't move my ankle it's full range of motion because of the destroyed tissue in my calf. Really sucks as a martial artist. >.<

yea, they are bad, I think it was a brown recluse or w/e, what ever ones are in michigan. evil little fuckers I sware >_< he got me in my sleep too lmfao..
