Exactly. Same applys to doing 3 KS30 instead of a KS99. There is a chance to get screwed no matter which KS or BS BCNM you try. I like KS99 because of the chance to get stupid rich, like this:

Out of curiosity how was it you destributed that loot? Currently my shell has the person lot one item of at least 3mil in value or the entire pool goes to the orb holder. Rest of the people get, points for showing up which calculate into gil value or items later on.

I was in a LS with this system and I hated it. It is OK when you get awesome drops, but with that system the orb holder really would be better off just doing 3 KS30 and keeping everything.

The way my current LS does it is: Orb holder gets everything except BB items, and they have to spend points to use an orb.

Everybody else gets points for showing up.

I bet I've done over 50 Chlevnik runs and have never seen Shining Cloth drop.

we take all the valuable loot that dropped that night and split it evenly between each orb (we've had some people bring 2 in the same night).

if you don't have an orb you get nothing except the knowledge that we'll do the same for you when you do bring one.

Evenly only between the people who spotted the orbs, right? Or Evenly as in pooled it all together and then split among those who came.

Our LS is Orb Holder gets the choice of 1 item, the rest are split. Last time I did mine I got Guiespere and a lot of crap, next orb was worse.

Our ls does a system where orb user chooses one item to keep, and all else is sold and split between everyone else that shows up to the fight. The item chosen determines how much gil from the pool that person gets. There's a range that determines if they recieve a full share, half share, or no share of gil from the pool. So if they get something hot like an unsho they'd get no gil, but if their best item was a behemoth horn, they'd get to keep that item plus a full cut of the gil split between everyone else.

It's a system that worked pretty well for us.

Anyone have any lesser done KS30s they can recommend? I've done dozens of ODS and Scarlet Kings, and never one made over 300k. Once I made 1.4m because we pooled lots.

Just looking for any recommendations about KS30s with better chances of getting decent loot at least. I'm gonna stab myself in the eye if I get another Rampager or Heart Snatcher.

Good luck on that. Tried it on Saturday for the first time. 6 people with orbs, 2 losses in a row, everyone decided to not continue. That fight sucks so bad it's not even funny. The queens will always try to help the king, no matter how much hate others get. They can be bound and gravitied, but once they're even slightly mobile they make for the king and heal him.

We chose the PLD king if I remember right. He'll invincible if he gets down far enough in health (which he has a ton of.) Melee damage is pretty dismal on him. He spams moves that rape shadows and do damage. People ran out of MP and then it was just a matter of time. After the 2 attempts everyone decided our orbs were better spent in ODS or DD.

Hmmmm... so they effectively share hate with the King in the same manner as, say, the Glacier Pukkis share hate with Angra Mainyu?

Our initial strategy was going to be to select the WHM King (Cups), begin by Gravitying him, have the RDM kite him and the Queen of Cups away from the circle while the rest of the team (likely to be NIN WAR SAM MNK WHM) take the Queen of Batons (BLM) and kill her off first.

We were then going to take the King, but we might need to take the Queen if directly attacking the King will always cause auto-linked hate. Do you know if their shared hate works in reverse too?

Personally I love Double Dragonian. Very high drop rate on Minuet Earring which is like 500k. Decent drop rate on Dragon Heart which is around another 600k. And 100% drop on Dragon Meat which is a guaranteed 70-100k depending on the market. Also with a reasonable chance at D and O Ingot and D cloth. Beats doing ODS for 20k total in drops anyway...

My best KS 30 loot pool ever was from DD, got O Ingot, Dragon Heart, D Cloth, and Minuet Earring ^.^

Not really sure. I don't recall the king ever trying to go help the queens out. Might be worth a shot. Keep me posted on how things go for you.

Missed this initially. I like this idea a lot. Only thing would be the minor complication of keeping track of who got what and who owes who what. Totally worth the hassle though IMO.

I bet I've done over 50 Chlevnik runs and have never seen Shining Cloth drop.

I have done probably 20 total and seen it 3 times :D

I only did 2 KS99 Behemot for myself and I got:

- less than 2m the first time.
- 800k the second time.

That's why I always been poor lol! Fuck KS99!
