I think that whatever they do Ridill will still be the best sword. In practice it's really got a base damage of 90 or something like that.

The thing that makes it broken (e.g. Man/Ridill or Ridill/Joy wars outparse Wars with a fully-upgraded relic greataxe), is the massive TP gain associated with it.

I think that without the TP gain bonus for Ridill, the relic great axe might become the best DD option for Warrior (as it should be).

The thing that scares me (as someone with war at 75) is that they want to give incentives for warriors to use other weapons (other than axe/axe or axe/sword), and make beastmasters more desirable to xp parties. I can completely see SE just making rampage bst-only (then my beastmaster would REALLY outparse my warrior).

That's so wrong >_>; They won't just remove Rampage from WARs and DRKs without pissing off the vast majority of the userbase, as for WAR, it's the bread-and-butter attack for EXP.

If they didn't think/know ridill was too strong they wouldn't have made bahamut's zaghnal a piece of shit. All multi-hit weapons would have full damage per single strike instead of relying on multi-strike to get full-near full damage.

That's a kinda pussy attitude for the weapon master class to have. If they're giving you incentive to use other weapons, then what's the harm?

When most people say "fix" I think they just mean "tone down"... unless they are super jealous that they don't have a Ridill and really want to give it a beatdown with the nerf-stick.

There are plenty of minor tweaks that could be made to the weapon to make it more balanced but still be considered one of the dominant weapons in the game. Many have been stated in this thread, so I will not bother to repeat.

There are no comparable drops to Ridill lol. Nothing to put it in line with to start with. It is pretty rare and off a mob that most people can't even get the chance to fight. If Ridill was really common then it would make sense to gimp it.
