One time there was a Fafnir claimed by an ls who'd never fought him, they go to zerk and wipe. Thing is they didn't wipe completely when another ls claimed it off them. So faf was still zerked. The second ls sleeps it and ends up bringing it all the way to 10 minute zerk(where his crits and normals have the same damage haha). So it wakes up and rips their assholes apart, all of that alliance dies and a jp ls grabs it while members of the first fighter group are still alive with hate. lol Zerked fafnir shreds them, finishes off the main group, then goes docile with 15% hp left and nobody up in the entire place but the ls I was in, because we were smart enough not to touch the fucking thing or anybody fighting it, unlike people spamming cures to get hate for the hate competition claim.

oh and yeah /s is for fags but nothing really wrong with it if you're just relaying drops I suppose, though the ls I was in never did that either.

As far as drops to freak out about:

Sash to me isn't nearly as worthy as Ridill is. Sure it is rare and all, but when considering percentage of AV kills it has dropped from, vs percentage of Fafnir kills that drop Ridill, Sash doesn't look so rare anymore. Plus it isn't a huge increase in power over a speed belt. IDK, Sash is nice, but there are other options that are comparable.

Ridill has nothing that compares to it as far as I know. My LS is coming up on 40 Fafnir kills and we have only seen one. When I see another one drop, I will definitely be freaking out a bit.

D Ring is pretty hot too. I leveled NIN to solo and merit with, I don't tank HNMs, so D Ring isn't all that exciting to me. Certainly a rare and uber drop though.

The reason I said I understand is that it isn't just a 4 day stretch of 100% claims. Just from my own eyeballing, in recent memory Emerald has a far higher percentage of claims for when they camp (in BD and Aery) than any other shell.

This is just a recent thing, it goes in swings. It always has and it always will. Before emeralds current good luck streak SD and Botsiris have gotten the large, large majority of claims especially on hq day's.

As far as I know, there are TWG in almost every HNM shell on Gilga... as well as a lot who aren't in the HNM scene at all anymore.
