i second that.
3 years of this BS is enough. early 20s to mid 20's playing this game. We are sad sacs of shit. why repeat the same mistake?
no more long term games period.

Somehow really true in a way. Nicely said and made me LOL in RL.Originally Posted by Cursed

Because despite our neverending bitching, alot of us still had alot of fun with this game? <_<aOriginally Posted by Cursed
It's cheaper than getting hammered at clubs several times a week at least, my bank account loves me alot more since I started this game (*'-')b
never shoulda left cerberus^^
to defend a former cerberus member: ALL LSs have at least 1 person using a "claim bot" or "modified dat files" to win claim, if you don't see this, you are ignorant as hell

couldnt agree more. FF has kept me entertained more than alot of my offline games, saved so much money (in AU each game costs 75-100 when released).
i used to have a very active social life b4 this game... now i skip work/school sometimes cause i stayed up all night playing, and i rarely study. i'd rather spend $8 on a pitcher of beer 2x a week then the future money i'm losing for having bad grades.
I stopped going to college two years ago because of this game. Now, however, I've had a taste of the real world and I'm back in school, this time with a goal of Chemical Engineering. I've limited my play-time immensly and still have time to enjoy the game when I have free time.
It might strike people odd here but it is actually possible to not ruin your life while playing MMOs.Originally Posted by Carbon
As for what Cursed said, I dont see FFXI as a mistake so I cant agree with that. I got alot more enjoyment/fun out of FFXI than anything else, so that for a second time would be great in the future.
But whats up Kainen![]()
one of the things i regret in FFXI.Exceed+Jeryhn:
never shoulda left cerberus^^
I left cerberus with most of my friends, then weeks later they all quit.
i was left alone in a new world. scared, broke and gimp.
haha, remember Firas back than when i still lvling up to get advanced job. i was asking you about selbina milk LOL. You were doing ballista, and Fitzwater was fishing in kuftal tunnel, Blatini was trying to get O.bow, which he got later with Fitzwater Blade:jin HUBAL MALY!!!!!!! 8)
lol says the person with 4 posts. MMOs ruin your life, unless you're one of those few "casual" players. Basically you can look at it like this MMO and RL are on scales. The better you are doing in one the worse in the other. There's no compensation. Call it the fault of human existence, or blame the game, it makes no difference.Originally Posted by Quazar

I'm sorry you might blame a game for your fuck ups, but it's not impossible to learn constraints or when to quit playing MMOs. And I am far from casual when coming to MMOs, just experienced enough now to know when enough is enough. Most people who are logging on for 12+ hours a day sit around most of there time doing jack shit anyways game/real life wise. It's indeed possible to balance the two without hurting either.

On topic, I, Quazar, am with everyone else in this thread for you to come post a response to Firas here. I've heard your response on AIM, but post it here.
Same thing happened in Paradise Oblivion. The LS bank was split up amongst a few people, and all the gil was RMT for thousands of dollars. Spilner made over $6000 from his account and gil, I only got over $2000 for gil (gave account back to Wizaga).
Other memebers got a cut of the LS bank and RMT it all. You can flame me if you want, but if you have a house payment, bills, etc you would probably take the money rather than have it sit on a character doing nothing. IF you still live at home with your parents, and they pay for everything, you probably won't understand.
I guess the difference with PO is the LS was disbanded, where as EX wasn't.
yes, in addition to that, Stanislav was a spoilt little kid with 5 PCs in his room, and a Jacuzzi in his backyard. I dont think he needed the money.Originally Posted by Thaesus

if you argue that you can do both, you and I have a different understanding or measurement of the word "Good"
I get used games for $10-$15 and sell them back for $5 or so. Or rent them for $5 for a week. Just finished Sands of Time and I'm working on Shadow of the Colossus now before I go on to The Two Thrones. There are more GOOD 6 month+ games in the bargain bin or used than I could play through for the next 10 years.Originally Posted by Lordwafik

He had full god gear back when it actually meant something.
He helped lead the most successful LS on his server.
And most importantly, everyone liked him.
I would say that is "Good".
and when he had enough, he left with no regrets.
Seems to me that he was pretty "good" at managing his life and what he wanted to do.
