pretty sure tahngalka was being sarcastic.
I wouldn't be so sure
10% is significant in S-E's eyesOriginally Posted by Kael
kinda hard to see 20%+ in anything without being borderline broken.
Unless it means that having Seigan affects the duration of Third Eye.
10% is significant enough in my eyes too.Originally Posted by Sho
Well yeah 10% or so is decent at least. 5 though isnt. Im thinking it will be 10%-15% I dont think it'll get any higher then that.Originally Posted by Sho
so what are you saying? when Seigan is in effect the duration will be less than 30 seconds?Originally Posted by Keider
all you people talking about %s is that just for Delay, Accuracy, STR or all of the above?Originally Posted by Sho
what's Dual Wield% when subbed?
Not sure if this was answered but can DRK/SAM or DRG/SAM work wonders with these new abilities? Those two are the only jobs I see that predominately use 2-handed weapons.
Oh wait.....SMN/SAM. MeleeSMN ftw!

15 but it doesnt actually do jack shit for your TP gain.
Thats Attack speed we're talking about.Originally Posted by layoneil
All of the above, assuming S-E is lazy and they increase all stats together with one boost. (Delay rly)Originally Posted by layoneil

The reduction only occurs when Seigan is on, and I assume the duration will match the recast, as it does currently. While Seigan is in effect, the recast time for the Third Eye job ability will be decreased by half. In accordance, the duration for "Third Eye" will be adjusted.
DW1 = 10%, DW2 = 15% I believe are the numbers. DW3 is post 37.Originally Posted by layoneil
Thinking it'll probably be longer actually. The chance of Third Eye staying depends on how long it has left on the duration, and I'm thinking Seigan would increase duration and therefore decrease the chance of it wearing off as soon as it would normally. Seigan doesn't look quite as appealing if all it did was cut Third Eye timer in half and nothing else.Originally Posted by layoneil
edit: or worse, cut the duration in half and just make you spam Third Eye twice as much for no reason.
Hmm... so maybe this means that NIN/SAM can put out more damage than NIN/WAR? Faster attack speed on a NIN with a haste build + haste spell = win?
As far as tanking goes, NIN/SAM, depending on how badly using the new SAM JA kicks recast in the floppy parts, could be pretty freakin' potent. Does anyone know what procs first? Third eye or shadows? If shadows proc first, wow... having third eye + shadows + phalanx II + stoneskin + tons of +EVA/+EVA skill gear + marchx2, mob debuffed all to hell with slow II + elegy. Geebus... just have all the DD /THF and a few THF main to SATA onto the NIN over and over. But like I said, totally depends on recast with SAM JA. Will be really fun to play with this.
Shadows cause third eye to cancel.
I used to dick around on sam/nin a lot, and basically the way I used third eye was for an extra shadow when recasting ichi.
I'd count the shadows, pop on third eye after ni was off, and put ichi up. It was pretty good at the time. Now it just sounds like Third Eye will be a third form of shadows, making nin kinda untouchable. Third eye would also be great for ninja for HNMs that spawned moves that knocked shadow off, like Fafnir as an example. You put ni up, it does wing, you pop third eye on, and go and cast ichi.
Shadows overwrite Third Eye.
edit: Dammit, Xav beat me to it.
If you really think about it, it makes sense... the cutting down of Third Eye recast goes with the lowered duration they are tagging onto the JA itself.Originally Posted by Keider
cutting it in half is pretty significant. especially with the natural changes to 3rd Eye (counter without AF, possible anticipation and 3rd Eye still remaining active).Originally Posted by Keider
NIN/SAM should be sufficiently gimped in that /SAM will mess with Utsusemi recast timers.Originally Posted by Fhqwghads
