As far as tanking goes, NIN/SAM, depending on how badly using the new SAM JA kicks recast in the floppy parts, could be pretty freakin' potent. Does anyone know what procs first? Third eye or shadows? If shadows proc first, wow... having third eye + shadows + phalanx II + stoneskin + tons of +EVA/+EVA skill gear + marchx2, mob debuffed all to hell with slow II + elegy. Geebus... just have all the DD /THF and a few THF main to SATA onto the NIN over and over. But like I said, totally depends on recast with SAM JA. Will be really fun to play with this.

Hasso and Seigan are both 2 handed weapons onry.

I'm thinking Hasso will be no less than 5% bonus, no more than 10%... it's S-E we are talking about, folks.

It really depends on how much of a difference they want to make. 5% isnt that much for a 2handed weapon Job.

I'm thinking it will be significant enough.

10% is significant in S-E's eyes kinda hard to see 20%+ in anything without being borderline broken.

Didn't everyone shit their pants when the 5% Haste W.Turban hit the streets? Many of the jobs that jumped all over that already had access to 3% from a Panther +1.

How is a 10% attack speed increase (as a JA mind you, not a gear increase) anything but huge? Especially if it's coupled with comparable boosts in ACC (10% is almost the + from Sushi) and 'attack strength'.

Even a 5% boost to speed, acc, and power from a JA you can keep up at whim would be huge. My pants will explode a second time if it's 10-15%.

I bet money they'll give an Elegy + Slow like recast to NIN/SAM Ninjutsu with Seigan up (already bad enough that the NIN will have to weild GKT to receive the effects). They are trying to taper off NIN tanks.

DRK/SAM looks like it would be a ton of fun after this update. Didn't SE say at one point they to give something that would make DRKs have more incentive to use Scythes? Maybe this is what they were talking about (although hopefully they do get something for their own job instead of relying on /SAM)?

NIN/SAM gets nothing out of it, you need a 2 handed weapon to gain anything.

DRK/SAM is gonna be fucking overhauled into an absolute beast.

they should be really improved in merits if the % increase is decent. the question is will people be smart enough to switch the JAs around and not be MP sponges.

Yeah, I'm hoping they get something on their own too. This looks more like a general, "sub something other than NIN" and "2H Weapons dont always suck" sorta thing.

It's still an incremental upgrade at best. Getting a 2% or 3% increase in attack speed only was a pretty big deal.

it only says recast time is cut in half, it doesn't say duration will be too. the sentences are written well enough to not make that kind of assumption.
