When leveling my first job to 75, basically no WHMs had Erase, and no RDMs had Dispel, unless they were older JP players (which I encountered a fair bit as a bard). Its kind of strange to me that its 100% expected of first time to 75 players now. I know I actually never got 6 digits of gil until I hit 75 lol.

I'm going to assume this is sarcasm, since it's reasonable to include key spells for a mage in the notion of equipment.

As for Shuemue, well, you are entitled to your opinion. Posting a screen of a player who has time to unlock the COR job to sub it to their 36 RDM, but can't come up with 70K gil(On Titan right now, this is equivalent to 7 Darksteel Ores, which can be mined up in about an hour.) to buy a spell that is all but required by the job in a thread created to view screenshots of gimped players makes me a twat? Fair enough sir, if you smoke, then I choose to think of you as something detestable simply because you put your cigarettes out in an ashtray. That is equally as rediculous as your calling me a twat.

I was in the party next to you in mire when you pted with him. Also, he has a hauberk and full what ever the 69 drk/war/bst set is. I think he had double snipers or woods. Dunno how he got all that that fast.

on topic of the rdm w/out dispel, it definately is warranted in this thread...


RDM w/out dispel imo is a LOT worse than war's using AF axe at 60+. Atleast that axe still allows them to do their job.

Hell, I got dispel while I was 31 through the Selbina Clay quest. I was poor as dirt and 70k was a huge sum to me, but I made damn sure I had something as key as that spell. There's more than enough ways to quest/farm gil...I always felt that racing to 75 was just idiotic, especially when you gimped yourself in the process.

I saw the guy shouting non-stop the other week for help on every AF piece, even offering rewards to be lead to a coffer in Uggalepih.

Funny thing? He sends me a random tell last night asking for 9k for new armor, I promptly told him to go farm. I'm usually not an asshat, and I'll help the random man here and there but holy hell, when you're wearing a wing earring and homing ring...full time...no, just get out of my sight.

Edit: Just noticed his LS name. I've been leveling DRK recently and sadly, a large majority of my parties are clueless new players, not the "my gear's meh, but I wanna learn, help me" but the "lol full af on drg is pwnz" types. Yeah I've had the "honor" of partying with a few people in that shell, they're not that much better geared than him...or skilled.

Not sure what it is, but damn near every party I have incompetent players... yesterday I had a RDM wearing 2 courage rings, signal pearl, amber earring, full af, life belt...I asked why, he replies "cause dude" and that was it, didn't respond. Then tonight, I have a BLU who's 67 using Sandy ring, full AF, other assorted oddities and was spamming Mysterious Light and Stinking Gas, occasionally doing Mandibular Bite...nothing else.

Shit like this makes me wonder why I bother gearing myself instead of just gimping it to 75 then outfitting my guy, as it is now, a large majority of my parties, I'll pull hate just swinging and I have -5 enmity... I'm afraid to even hit berserk or souleater or anything.

I was hoping that the DRG that joined our PT last night was just wearing full AF in town because it looks so cool. Sadly....I wound up with someone worthy of a post in this amusing thread.

He was getting 100TP to the THFs 250-300TP. I saw several 1TP returns on Skewer. Thank God he was so incredibly bad...he had freaking <call3> in his TP macro. Oh yeah, this SS taken shortly after the BLM disconnected and just before he called out his NPC (which did better damage btw).

At least your DRG was subbing WAR and while really gimp, most of that gear at least have an ounce of use. HP+ gear on DRG really made me wtf.

Yours had a Life Belt on at least. What weapon was he wielding? If it was a GK Lance you're up a good +12ACC. My loldrg would have killed for one guaranteed hit every 60s as well...whiffing with Zerk up wasn't doing him much good.

Pretty impressive nonetheless. That's amazingly bad.

Honestly, I don't remember the lance at all, but I like to think its something much much worse than the +12 accuracy lance.

The worst thing was he was amazingly nice Didn't have the staging point (or any of them, for that matter) so, I walked him to it. We also made him take the <call1> off of his Jump and High Jump macros.

This is about par for the course for the people I party with lately. Had a Red Mage that made it a point to do everything in Scorpion Harness (thankfully, didn't attempt meleeing), and unfortunately that "everything" included never giving me Refresh and rarely giving the Ninja Haste. I think I could probably flood this board if I keep levelling Blue Mage with pickup parties.

And I'd even accept a purple belt over the life since she's eating sushi. Could probably even sub war since with the rest of us she didn't draw hate once with her 200-300dmg asurans. Heh.
