Worst equipped melee/mage

Well, that could be much worse, I mean, he at least has a few good/ok choices of gear.... Some people really need to check parsers every once in a while just to compare how they are doing in a party. You might not do the best, but when you are beat that bad, something is definitely wrong and you need to re-think your gear choices.

Martial axe/ifrit blade? There is bad choice, and there is stupid choice. Sword will never outdamage axe on low level mamool, let alone high evasion one. Ridill is barely superior in that camp, and its about twice as good as the 2nd best sword.

The only "good" gears is the haubergeon and p.charm. Barone pant are good, but they are also the cheapest you can get on AH with attack stats. Anyway, i dont think it could be "much" worse, it could be worse, with base stats, agg/berserk, it's hard to parse 300% less than someone else

Wow.... I've seen some bad WARs but these guys take the cake. Average pickup WAR on my server is Woodville/Maneater, Hauberk, Barone pants, STR rings, Warwolf belt, Amemet+1, Chiv Chain, Assault/Minuet Earring (seriously like half the WARs have this exact equipment). Not what I'd call well-equipped but at least they show some semblance of effort, and their errors are more in the direction of the wrong pieces at the wrong times as opposed to being truly gimpy. I mean, there's the ones who do stupid shit like offhanding Ifrit's Blade, but I have yet to see one show up to merits in a Narashima vest or Peti.

When I use meat in the average merit party, the first thing that happens is I get like 2-3 simultaneous /checks. >_>

He's so bad it's not funny... full STR, no Acc = lots of misses. His Rampages do like 0-300, don't think I've seen more. If I played on PC and could SS or Parse it would say he sucked horrible..

Replace warwolf with potent belt/life belt , but yeah, a lv 75 war shouldn't PT if his gear is under that. I'm not asking for the best setup possible, but at least, I want to see some effort in someone gear when he is meriting with me.

Lately, I'm bothered with the amount of sam I see in hachiman body. How can you hit 75 without ever getting an haubergeon. Most of them sub thf too, and have shitty dmg in overall. Seriously, why sam have such an hard-on on TP. They sacrifice so much dmg to get tp 10% faster its not funny. Hell, they probably lose 20%acc doing so.

Not gonna give his name for now. Gonna wait to see if he listen my advice about selling his p.charm to become a decent geared war. I did mention parser result in the last pt, it will hopefully be enough to convince him not to pt ever again with this setup.

i have no SS, or rather i could get but my war for TP gain is like

life belt
adaman legs
forgets
(i have a haste set but waiting on dusk gear to put into effect)

and then i have my own STR set.. i think i'm up to +72-74str i bleieve

Yeah, I've been noticing that as well... a lot of SAMs just use Hachiman fulltime. They also use other STR gear and have like no ACC, then pop a sushi thinking it'll fix that, so their DoT is terrible.

Legolass, your gear sounds fine, I definitely would not call that gimp at all (you even have some white box bling) unless you use some stupid weapon combo like Martial/Ifrits or something. I don't expect every WAR to have PCC/Dusk/Unicorn/Haidate, etc because that stuff is very expensive and/or hard to get... but you can easily tell when a melee cares about their job and is trying to perform the best they can with the means they have.

Actually, theres no better choice for someone who has SAM leveled and uses it more than any other job, but I regret it sometimes because I just -won't- take WAR or NIN to 75 without a Suppanomimi. Well, there are more reasons to that. WAR would be too similar to MNK which I already have and my Weapon merits would be screwed hard. I've already gone from: 8GK 4 Polearm> 8GK 2 Polearm 2Sword> 8GK 4Archery> 8GK 4H2H. If I took WAR up, I'd want to go all out and get 8Sword 4Axe, but thats something I won't do since in the end, I'll probably only being on par with my MNK.

Enough of the derail. I agree with Obev that this probably is what happens when the LS bank pays for cursed gear. I mean the gear isn't worthy of the thread (Worst equipped melee/mage), but a lot of it says WTF. Temple gloves, Ruby rings, Purple belt... what I assume are Bushinomimi and Minuet earring (since the non-abjuration gear seems to be focused on cheap STR, but it -could- be a Coral earring), won't say anything about NQ amemet since it's decent, I guess. No way in hell I'd ever meripo with someone like that though.

Bushinomimi on SAM75 = yes.
Bushinomimi on MNK75 = no.

Even if you have Bushinomimi there's not really a reason to wear it on MNK... Attack earrings are what, 10k?
