Those aren't that horrible, same DMG/Delay as Cross-counters with one less accuracy, and Cross-counters are a viable endgame weapon if you don't have destroyers. He also has HQ amemet and brown belt, up to date STR rings and coral earrings + c.chain it looks like.

His are self signed and HQ if memory serves, but I still agree in town=in town, before I gave it away I wore Osode in town, not that Osode is bad, but I didn't use it for anything unless for some reason I was war/thf which is like once in the last 6 months.

The sword x2/AJ WAR looks like he was just trying to break latent and possibly cap out his sword skill. Using 2 swords is gonna do that faster, and if I was doing Steelshells and tanking on WAR with a party of 3 people and seemingly no refresh, I'd at least try to get out of negative evasion and defense which is what he seemed to be trying to do. I probably would have at least worn AF pants and picked up a Narashima vest if I was him, but meh.

As for town shots... I think they're ok when you can tell that the stuff they're wearing is obviously what they're gonna be fighting in. For example, I wear Osode around town on WAR because it looks nice, but checking me it's fairly obvious from the rest of my gear that I'm doing that. If you saw a WAR at 75 using Jaridah Peti, DEX rings and Beetle Earrings in town... it's pretty likely that's their actual gear unless they like to look like a total gimp on purpose. >_>

My Dynamis shell has quite a few WHM's. Not all of them are geared to the nines, but most of them wear gear that's the produce of a good, hearty investment.

Then, there's this guy.

I like how people still think Zenith Slacks are good for WHM. Better than AF1 yes... but when they're a couple mil to make as cursed, the money is better spent on Blessed Trousers.

If the weaponskill would overkill the (meripo) mob so much it's a waste they may get an extra attack round or two.
If the MNK is participating in a skillchain and gains TP at a rate higher than their partner.
If the MNK is building for 300% for something, although damage usually doesn't matter against mobs you're building TP on.
