On a serious note I have a NIN lvl 73 and no Ohat (done many runs but always had mage jobs and never felt the need for -1 inv) and dread the day I appear on here with a similar pic.
Do people really consider no Ohat that bad? I do feel a little pathetic still using Emperor Hairpin for tanking and Voyager Sallet for general WS/TP Burn being such low lvl gear - but what's better?
75 great - i'll use my turban for haste but in the meantime ... ???

Sometimes, the hassle of getting an O. Hat is too much for people, esp if they're w/o a good LS. Too many things can go wrong and you'll be fucked over for sure if you do it with random people. If you can't get it because you can't get it, don't worry; if it's laziness, well, don't say anything, get to 75, get the turban and pretedn you went from 70-75 w/ the O. Hat.

Summery: Not having an O. Hat at 70+ is not something to overly worry about. There are worse things you can be missing than the O. Hat.

And big LOL at the meleesmn. Random shitty gear for the fucking win.

everything on that war is acceptable except the body and head. Meleeing in str rings isnt such a cardinal sin as to require death to all but it could be better. Regardless, not having hauby or anything useful for a head makes this guy a sad panda.

Everything on that war is acceptable when used in conjunction with something else. Like the Str rings would be fine if he used Ryl.Grd. Collar and a life belt. All of it together at 75 is a god fucking awful merit build.

The WHM without a Light Staff I posted earlier reappeared in a party yesterday as a NIN tank with no accessories and -Enmity merits.

There was also no WHM in the party, so nobody could cast Silena following Cold Stare. Not like he was actually taking any hits, though.
