Worst equipped melee/mage

Replace E-sword by a Blau and it could be a pretty decent Evi setup. I miss the point of the sword though, and the eva stuff is indeed lol.

She could melees in xp pt to prove a point, but well, this gear is weird. Gimp? no.

Atk/Str does more for Evisceration than mountains of DEX (come on thunder rings?)

Although E/Kraken with Snow rings would make for a hell of a Savage Blade setup. (Yes, somehow the secondary modifier on Savage does something and the one for Evis doesn't lol)

Why am I going to spend millions when no one else even comes close to appropriate gear, and also people are horrible at party dynamics.

60+....yeah that's a different story.

Other than Leaping Boots and Emperor's Hair Pin, not much gear under level 30 should set you back millions of gil.

I like to be properly geared just because of my own personal standards. When in Rome, you don't have to do what the Romans do. (Or in this case, when in Qufim you don't have to do what the gimps do.)

Then again now that I have two characters I can PL myself and easily solo/duo to 20 avoiding the hell of the dunes entirely.

Yeah i agree. And in that particular case i wouldnt even have mind if he didnt have astrals, but atleast spring for that galka rse. Its cheap, even free if you spend the time, and chalkfull of mp.

*sigh* Sometimes I run into real winners. I run out to Kuftal to PL some of my friends who decide to get 100 exp off crabs and be slaughtered by lizards. I see this real treasure of a guy. He's decently equipped although I want to hurt any rdm wearing the hands and feet. Especially elvaans. No reason whatsoever, either way here we go...

This is funny to me. Im my defense I dont see what's wrong with using RDM hands and feet. Secondly I hardly ever fight with my staff, although I dont remember this situation too well I'm sure I didnt fight with the staff the whole xp party, rdm doesn't allow it with all the work you gotta do.

I'm sorry that I'm not an elitest if you think my equipment was horrible, but I never go party with a gimp sub as someone had pointed out a few posts after yours.

Not here to bitch, just defending myself, I would understand if I was like running around in fishing equipment and taking advantage of the red mage necessity ;p

Devotee's mitts and race-specific level 30 stuff are better, and cheap. Red mage hands and feet do precisely nothing for magic skills.

Oh, and it's not that meleeing with a staff is impossible due to business, it's impossible due to the fact that red mage doesn't even get staff skill.

Better, yes, but they won't make or break a RDM. When I leveled RDM, I wore Astral rings from 30-75, and I wore af as they became available. At least until the mid-60s when I decided to get RSE2 hands and swapped in more int and mnd gear.

Did it really make a difference? Not really; while we have our A+ in enfeebling you're fooling yourself if you think that's the reason RDM is in high demand for exp. All a RDM has to be able to do to be 'good' is maintain a Refresh+Haste cycle.

Dont wanna be annoying or anything, but i think you meant Aqua by Snow Rings since Savage is STR+MND and yes, MND is really noticeable on Savage, that's why Guespiere is best Savage setup sword.

Kinda hard to see, but that is a Galka DRK wearing 2 electrum rings, drone earring, mp+12 necklace, 4/5 AF, and ryl sqr helm. He's casting (I'm still in pt with him) Absorb-INT every fight and getting resisted every time. He also casts other absorb spells, but never absorb-TP. I don't think he has it.
