I remember that shit costing a truckload, and also my friends renting it from blockbuster and all of us playing mario64.
Good times
I never did get to beat Quest 64.
When I first bought the N64, the concept of a memory card hadn't crossed my mind, so I basically had to start over every time I wanted to play a game until I could afford one.
That was one hell of a system though. I had some good times playing Ocarina of Time, WCW, Super Smash Bros., Mario Party...
I don't think any system that came after N64 has provided me nearly as much enjoyment as that one did.
Earthbound 64 would've been badass...
I disagree slightly. I think Earthbound 3 is much closer to the roots, even as insanely obsessed I am with Earthbound, I found the n64 version looking pretty bad.Originally Posted by Quicklet
I dunno, I saw some of the hype before it vanished and it didn't look bad or anything, but it's hard to believe that an N64 version of it would've failed to deliver.
I still have stars missing on mario64 that i cant fucking find. I think there is like 120 and im between 112-118. I want to go and try to find them but gah i'll probabaly do it anyway on my wii just for the hell of it.
I got my N64 for Christmas/Hanukkah and I didn't even know what it was. My brother did though, and was soooo excited like the N64 kid! We got Zelda for it, so I watched my dad and brother play Zelda for the next like, month straight, and totally fell in love. Hahaha oh man.
haha yeah mine was for christmas too, was hard as hell to get. I remember playing zelda and having so much fun... fishing and diving in that ice place owned. Then beating it and playing it again and again.Originally Posted by Lbelle
golden eye, blast corps, zelda, and mario64 were all fun as hell on n64
<3 N64, I don't care what anyone says, my friends and I would move 4 tvs in one room and race to 120 stars in Mario 64, took 8 hours, but hey, it was totally worth it.
<3 goldeneye
my friends were so hardcore, we'd put a piece of cardboard in the middle of the screen for some intense 2v2 action. We also tried a 4-way splitter but it was a little strange having people underneath your chair playing.
Unlocking the cheats was pretty challenging too. most memorable one was the facility run on hard for invincibility. That one took me awhile but when I finally did it, I think I danced a jig
Wait, it's already been 10 Years?
I used to be a Megadrive/Genesis whore. I loved that shit; Earthworm Jim anyone?
Never managed to get hold of an N64, mind you I could never figure out how to hold the damn controller.
Good memories none the less.
10 Years though...anyone feel older than they thought they were?
GOLDENEYE
Best FPS ever.
<3 GoldenEye, and Banjo Kazooie![]()
POKEMON STADIUM back in the day this was the greatest
perfect dark
even though when i play on the emu now i can barely beat the first lvl, somehow i was rly good @this long ago ; ;
Earthworm Jim was the coolest game ever. Ah, good times.Originally Posted by Wintermute
They're coming out with a new Banjo Kazooie for the 360 I think. Don't think it'll measure up to the N64 one though.Originally Posted by Tydeis
Fucking goldeneye and zelda on N64 for the mutha fucking win
Me and my one friend would go into the cave place on goldeneye and place a ton of proximity mines somewhere while the other person was turned around, then run through the map to see who died first. I dont think i've ever had that much fun with a friend on any one game before.
