macro folder

what folder should i backup that has my macros in it?
any other folders in the pol directory that i should backup?

Macros as well as a lot of the config stuff are in PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER being separate for each character you have

one of the other things that can be worth backing up is PlayOnline\SquareEnix\PlayOnlineViewer\pub\home01\ open\ScreenShots\FinalFantasyXI
being the screenshots you take using the in game screenshot button

i have 11 folders in the users folder. im assuming its ok to just burn the entire folder copy it over once i reformat? (sry, im a noob)

yeah just copy the whole users folder. It has a section for any account ever logged in, guest or registered and every character I think. Like mules. They are so small that it's ok to take the whole user folder and just put it back when you are done reloading everything.

yes, when you do a clean install of ffxi those folders wont exist, when you pop open your character it will check for them, if they don't exist, it creates new ones. if you put your old ones back in, it uses them.
