Have you ever quit and come back

I've quit twice this time for good. Being EU sucked playing this game all the better LS events was at 12am so i would walk around like a zombie all day sleep till 10pm log on do LS event,sleep etc, I miss it a lot but would never come back , I gave everything away last time and i'm never going mining or farming for gear ever again.
Playing Wow now and most Guilds event start at 6pm (7pm there time) and i get in about an hour after that from work so fucked over on that too really.

There are European servers...and last I checked alot are on par with US servers (Nihilum beating Kel'Thuzad before DnT proved this...); so unless you just have some great friends you play with, you are fucking yourself over for no reason, lol.

LOL no the EU servers events start too early for me, Thats what i saying.

I'm working on 2 straight months without FFXI, I quit a few times before that, but non for more than a week. Honestly quitting was the best decision I could have ever made, life is alot better, and you don't have to commit every free moment of your time to doing boring an tedius things. I miss my friends, but I can still get on AIM and say whats up, everything else about the game makes me feel sick when I think about the 200+ days of my life that were wasted on FFXI.

Oh.. and it took me dropping every single rare/ex item I had to truly be comfortable quitting and never coming back, so if you really wanna' quit FFXI, drop the rajas/tamas/sattava/joyeuse/af2/genbu shield/suppanomimi/etheral/ etc etc and you will NEVER come back.

Started at NA pc launch, played till about half a year ago, 75 mnk with everything I wanted, tons of merits, few other fairly high jobs and quit and never went back. Played wow for a while, got 60 shaman and hunter lots of tier 1 between the 2, never made it to bwl and quit it also :D

Was the healthy choice for me to make, sometimes you just gotta move on.

In response to the OP, i am actually on my first break since Hurricane Katrina (not looking for sympathy here, but getting away for the game for almost 2 months for the first time in over 2 1/2 years was nice). And just the past month i decided to take my first real break, b/c quite honestly, logging on just to check on your chocobo, LFP on a job for hours w/o an invite, etc wasnt doing anything for me. Although when i come back i highly doubt ill log in for the long periods of time like i always did, i hate to admit it but i miss the damn game

I personally think taking a break (a week, a month, w/e, depends on you) is one of the best things anyone can do if you think you are really getting bored with the game, b/c i, for one, got burnt out with it and was actually contemplating quiting the game altogether...not anymore
