Oh? But the 20 or so pictures of dead and skinned dogs on page 19 isn't in bad taste either? Yikes.Originally Posted by Sonomaa
I mean, I liked the Crocodile Hunter as much as anybody else, but still.
Thats just sick/wrong also but seeing someone everyone loved to watch/see do dangerous things die so easy isn't funny.Originally Posted by Metah

Damn didn't realize it would cause such an uproar. It was a grainy pic that barely showed anything. Like I said in a few days the pictures will be everywhere wether you like it or not. Sorry.
and go fuck yourself Lbelle for calling me a dick. stupid cunt
Oh. No. He. Didn't.
run
Ban him please.
So the other pictures showing people dead and dying are ok in this thread? Noone complained about those. One thing that really really pisses me off is when people segragate news coverage when people die. Post a pic of some random joe blown to peices, its OK, post a pic of Steve Irwin, and its blasphemy. Its all in bad taste, but other pics (reminded of the one of the dude that was on what looked like an autopsy table with skull completely open), get no shread of sympathy...just "Eww thats gross." ESPN did the same shit. Cory Lidle died in a plane crash, and it gets hours upon hours of covereage (Yankee). A freshman football player (College) dies on the field and guess how much coverage it got on ESPN, none. Both are equally related to sports, and ESPN is a sports network. It's almost hypocritical. It's really sad how death's are covered by the media, how they swing sympathy. It's sad when steve irwin dies, but his wife and kids survive quite well. Its also very devastating when a 19 year old kid dies on a football field. Don't get me wrong, i mean no disrespect toward steve irwin, or cory lidle, it's all quite sad, steve irwin was an entertainment icon, and anytime a plane hits a building in NYC, it should make news. C'mon though, where was all this tension when the lidle and irwin jokes were being made?Originally Posted by Lbelle
Personally, I blocked the images of the dogs because I didn't want to see it. I saw the point the person was trying to make though. (Don't you touch my bubble of happy ignorance!)
Picture, because I had one uploaded:

I never saw that before, I went back to edited the thread to remove the linksOriginally Posted by Metah
basically if your going to post something like that, link it, do not image tag it, that sort of imagary is considered not mind safe, not work safe is nudity, not mind safe at least includes a chance to NOT click it
(for referance, mutilation, death, really gross things, tubgirl, goatse, all not mind safe)

Goatse.cx might be down, but Goatse will always live on in our hearts.
All i said was i didn't ever want to see that, nothing more. I see enough death with work, i didn't need to see that here.

I showed my friend Tubgirl once, and he actually fell into the fetal position. Fun stuff.Originally Posted by Vobent
I actually didn't see any pictures of any dogs in the this thread lol. I sorta skip around because it's such a long thread, so there's the distinct possibility that I missed it/them.
I do agree with you though, Tyche. I think it's hypocritical to laugh at some pictures of people dying, whereas others people can get sad for them. I'd laugh at someone getting hurt for doing something retarded, but I wouldn't ever laugh at someone dying, which is what was shown in that picture. That's why I was sympathetic, because it showed a picture of a person dying, not a celebrity. Death hits close to home, and I thought it was bad taste for him/her to post the picture, and I'm glad it was taken down, that's all.![]()
Hope you can understand that point of view a little better.
Same here. I was goatse free until somebody posted a zip file that was supposed to be a mod for some game (maybe FFXI, I don't remember). All it had was one picture. Like a moron, I opened it.Originally Posted by Vobent

I almost forgot about collegehumor.com. This website kept me occupied between Faf windows for a while. (Almost as much as this JP game did.)
