Think that through a little more thoroughly. If a Sam could have meditate "miss," since meditate delays you by about 1/2 a second, it really wouldn't matter then?

The problem is DRK is dependant on Absorb-TP in order to be useful to a party. Pre-Absorb-TP, DRK was absolute crap, remember?

This just makes a higher chance for drk to be absolute crap through no fault of our own, yet again.

    a) Affects only an ability you lived perfectly happily for years without access to
Perfectly happy with? I sucked ass in any merit pt ever since merits came out, because I chose a job that turned out not to be on par with the rest, and I'm supposed to be perfectly happy with that?

    b) Affects only an ability which was just introduced into the game a few weeks ago
And that ability happens to be what convinced me to come back from WoW.

    c) is extremely minor in nature
So if meditate where set up to have circumstances where you got no TP from it, through no fault of your own, that would be extremely minor?

    d) has conditions under which the nerf will not even apply
You're right, when you get lucky it won't matter.

    e) has a determinstic (for a large majority of mobs) and clearly defined method for which you can control how much the nerf will or won't affect you.
What the fuck don't you understand about the fact that a mob can easily WS before you finish casting?

If it's a risk spell don't fucking use it, and go back to how you played DRK 2 months ago. Meanwhile, the rest of the DRK community will likely discover that the "nerf" is relatively minor and figure out how to adapt in a matter of hours, while you go about on your stupid crusade of caps lock, underlines, huge fonts and boldface ranting and raving about how your life has been ruined.
I'll spell it out for you real simply, step by step.

    1. Mob uses TP move
    2. DRK waits a few seconds
    3. DRK starts casting Absorb-TP
    4. Mob uses tp move 1/2 second before absorb-tp goes off
    5. DRK was already fucked before this nerf, now is fucked worse.

Is that simple enough for you?

You act like I can sit there and go "OK mob has 70TPish Absorb-TP GO!" and instantly get the 70 tp.

    That's not how it works.

Thought it through, and you're just coming across more like a whiny bitch. Regardless of whether this is a serious "nerf" or not for DRK it's still something the job didn't have a few months ago. Your example of a burn party is also stupid imo. Our LS DRKs don't merit on DRK, but in fights where mob TP growth is slower (read: Just about any HNM Fight), it can be a great boost for DRK and helpful for the whole alliance.

Why don't you take another shot at explaining it to the retards that don't understand how it works then? They ignored your first attempt completely.

The fact that I regularly see mobs WS immediately after "absorbing" 70-80tp says you don't know wtf you're talking about

Weird, I know some DRKs on my server that were pretty awesome before Absorb TP came out.

that ability happens to be what convinced me to come back from WoW.
Since the ability is still there, you're all set.

So if meditate where set up to have circumstances where you got no TP from it, through no fault of your own, that would be extremely minor?
    - Meditate is 3 minutes recast, Absorb-TP is 60 seconds.
    - Would there be a little button you could press (or the equivalent) that said "Make sure Meditate really gives me a decent TP return"? The Absorb-TP change seems that it will have the equivalent of the aforementioned button.

You're right, when you get lucky it won't matter.
Or when you learn how to read the chat log and count, that works too.

BTW, if your whole existance in this game hinges on a single Job Ability for a single job, it's probably best for you to quit anyway. Honestly.

so they give us DRKs the ability to drain tp, then decide to make it less effective than it already is... unless SE hasn't noticed which they obviously have not, if you ABS-TP right after a mob uses a TP move you drain nothing or close to it... t(','t)
and where's my promised scythe boost?!?!

So you'd take one of them over, say, Aurik?

That's a pretty funny statement coming from the guy that says he's understood what I've been saying since page 1, seeing how it completely ignores what I've been saying since page 1.

Uhh the last thing I said pretty well covers that.

You, sir, are a dipshit, and are ignoring the entire basis of what i'm saying.

I'll respond again if you ever actually realize wtf you're saying and say something halfway intelligent.

What you've been saying from page 1 is that you can't absorb TP the mob doesn't have, and it's possible for mob to use TP before you're done casting. So what?

If you use Absorb-TP and mob uses TP before you're done casting, then the mob will have little to no TP when your Absorb lands, and hence the so called nerf will hardly have effected you, since you wouldn't have absorbed hardly anything anyway.

Furthermore, if this is happening to you more than once in a blue moon, you need to learn how to become more effective at estimating the mob's TP. And if it is only happening to you once in a blue moon, stop being emo about something so trivial.

Its seriously not that big of a deal, its been in the game what, a month. Are you really that dependant on it already?

Its not like mobs use tp the second they hit 100, you have plenty of time to cast still.

Wow at least you figured out a little bit, enough to warrant a response.

Look dude, before you cast absorb tp, you have a choice:
You can cast before it builds a lot of tp, and risk getting very little return due to the mob not getting much in time.

You can cast when the mob has a lot of tp, and risk the mob ws'ing before you get it cast.

There is an INHERENT RISK in a 4 second spell which absorbs something that can dramatically change instantly.

I CAN NOT CONTROL WHEN THE MOB WILL USE ITS TP.

If I wait until it has sufficient amounts, I run the risk of it ws'ing and me being penalized.

If I don't, I run the risk of not getting enough.

And I just realized that you're still a dipshit ignoring the fact that absorb-tp is not instant cast, and I shouldn't have even bothered because you're just not going to get it.

Here's an idea: PLAY THE FUCKING JOB AND USE THE FUCKING SPELL BEFORE YOU TALK ABOUT IT.

I don't need to play the job to understand how TP works, and what 4 second cast time means.

P.S. Where did I say I thought it was instant cast? lol
