You can go back when you learn the lily pad, or you can go back later after you've learned to double jump. Either way, there will be a way to get up there.

I had to use a guide to get some beads, because some are buried in spaces or in random locations that I think would be very hard to find otherwise.

Unless you want to play through the game a second time with invicibility then you don't need to get the beads though.

God this game yesterday after my EB being sold out of it for a week and I've been hooked ever since.
It's fucking amazing... the story is awesome, it's Amaterasu's fucking awesome to control and the whole game is just BEAUTIFUL.

I saw it previewed on G4 a while back and I wanted to get it but I was worred that it might have been over-rated. I was totally wrong... I haven thad this much fun with my p2s in a long time.

Someone said earlier in the thread that it just seemed like a button masher.
Button mashing can get you through the fights but it's not really the way to play the game successfuly.

End of the game the nameless man starts giving you vases to offer to the statues.

Yeah, after a certain point in the game, the man near the kiln starts making vases that you just offer the statues (5 in all I believe). He only gives you them during the day, and each vase is ONLY in Shinshu Field area (i.e. you can't zone, but if you do the vase respawns so it's no big deal) You get praise and throughout, and a bead at the end.

I don't understand the logic either, it seriously makes 0 sense.
It was not a #1 game though, it has not sold very well at all. I think people will discover it later in its lifespan, like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
