Arnt there external chips (liks ps1 had) that you can play burnt games? Ive seen a USB one I swear; they dont kill the warrenty and theyre cheap too.

It's not chips afaik. It's boot CDs. You boot with one of those CDs and then once it's loaded you pull out the tray and put the game in.

Oh, I actually have warranty on my machine cause I bought it from a company that installs/sells. So they give you warranty.

You can softmod a fat PS2 for HDLoader access with not much more than an old PS1 game, Action Replay Max and a USB pen drive. Gives you HD support which is all you really need for stuff like this.

As far as I know, the last two generations (other than N64) have been mostly unemulatable. But that's why they made boot discs and mod chips.

Can you burn a boot disc lol? I don't wanna drop $30 on a boot disc/mod chip...wait 3-4 days for delivery, then end up buying the game when it comes out as well.

Heh, unfortunately you prob need a boot disc to run the boot disc.

As for chips..well it seems lately none of the new games have new protections cause my old chip from 2 years back have played all the new games I've bought/burned the last couple years.
