It's great for buffer imo, I rarely have to switch, even being suicidal like I am sometimes. But they should increase max exp gain. Like 1500 and people would pack in there, I'd say. Low level jobs wouldn't be able to get the full 1500 in most situations so it'd also encourage people coming as 70+'s...

1500 for a level 5 besieged which could last a few hours? No thanks. I'll go get an XP scroll or 3 or do an ENM for more XP than that in less time. Hell most jobs can solo a LOT more than 1500 in an hour just by stepping outside the gates.

A few hours? How fucking bad is your server? They're almost never over an hour for us, usually around 45 minutes.

Its pretty bad. I think the only reason Gilgamesh doesn't have more losses than Remora/Hades/etc is it goes for days at a time without being recovered and leads to fewer besieged.

lol no kidding, when I'm on I can barely get my Assault tags burned, because I'm either in Limbus, Dynamis, LS event, or helping someone do something. So its hard to get exp in now with my job in rl

I'm on Lakshmi where we are still undefeated. No clue how tho. I've seen all Generals down with only 150-200 people in zone and then they are in the AC room where all 200 people merge on the mobs and massacre them one by one before they retreat. Personally Beseiged bores me to death and I only enter the zone after its been running 30-45mins and spam cure on my SMN for 15mins to get my 700exp. It's more exp than my smn has gotten in recent crappy exp pts lol ;; Go Go SMN75 via Beseiged >.>

As for the rescue missions, a COR in my static has been trying to rescue the die NPC for nearly a week now. He's now 51 without dice for the last 10 levels (no war or thf rolls for my SAM ;; ) as the only way to get the dice is from the kidnapped NPC or AH which never has any. We have gone to every cell listed online in Halvung looking for it, lost tons of exp running past multiple true sight mobs to get to them and we can't find the stupid npc. Does anyone have positions for all the cells in Halvung? It's getting really annoying and the same 4 npc's have been missing for a week so I'm guessing there is another set of cells somewhere. Oh and we rescued the Choco NPC in the middle of double Beseiged went back to get our reward and she had been taken again -.-

Theres a few unmarked cells if you going by the FFXI-atlas marked cells. Best way to do it tho, is to take someone with widescan and just scan the maps for the npc. Once you have a location, its fairlly easy to rescue them solo if you willing to eat the exp loss from multiple RR or take someone who can sleep mobs with you.

Hmmm widescan seems a good plan. The COR in my static is actually a 75 BST amongst other things. I'll suggest he comes that next time lol. Halvung is so big tho and annoying to get to all entrances to the multiple maps that its still a very time consuming exercise to find the correct map with the NPC on it. We had a THF come along last time to pick cage locks as after several hours of killing mobs no keys would drop >< The going solo is very dangerous at one point in Halvung as you have to go over a bridge with 4 True Sight Wamoura on it. Our THF ended up fleeing the 4 Wamoura and 5-6 princes as far as possible so they would depop and we could get through. Guess we'll try again tonight lol before our static goes nuts from missing out on decent COR rolls in pt. Good thing we have a BRD too lol.

Wamoura are amazingly easy. I duo'd a couple with a whm without trouble. He kept spamming this healing move that healed him for 0hp.

No one likes besieged, I don't think Doomcky likes it anymore either.

He just joined a HNM LS and besieged keeps happening during king times. Shit he even left BD the other day between windows when he heard 4 generals were dead. After the windows he even went out on his own to rescue some of the generals.

Surprised he wasn't kicked.

Can't speak for the rest of the shell but ya I wasn't to happy with that. Thou he did make it back in time for the window. So w/e i guess.

I have no say in it. I'm not a leader so it's not my call. I don't think anyone made a big deal out of it because he did make it back for the window. And before anyone makes a comment no it doesn't make it right. He should be sitting there bored off his ass with the rest of us. But ya if I was a leader someone would have gotten a warning for that. And now back to work I go.

I look at each Besieged as 14 free trips to Jeuno and a chance to skill up healing and enhancing magic on my second character. (The whole while keeping General Zazarg safe from harm.)

I either do it for exp on a job I can't get parties on, or another attempt to cap my divine magic on RDM for that final blue text in magic skill. =/

My pld's gotten about 40,000 exp in besieged. I love it but ifrit can't maintain defense against level 5 attacks for more than a week. lol
