they're probably using the ads to offset the cost of maintaining the master server...

Desert Combat was one helluva mod.

Other than that, EA puts out games that feel way to arcade like.

Camping up there brought back memories of Karkand's hotel roof. I scored more points that round than any other game 8). Thanks to the Squad Beacon we were practically invincible (no orbital strike lol)

I hope those advertisements arn't like the ones they added to Planetside...

I think it was the same company.. at first they were kind of cute, but the ones with FULL AUDIO kind of sucked. Speaking of Planetside, I wish they made a new game that could support as many people on the field as that game did.

Those audio ones while waiting of the ship are annoying as hell.
But yet i do agree and would like annother MMOFPS like planetside. i still play it on and off

As you're invisible 90%(People can see your border line if their smart enough to look around) you can technically do anything but you have to stop pressing down and switch weapons. Also as you are invisible your screen will start to become blury because of being invisble and you will look like you're drunk as shit.

Everyone post your BF2142 names so I can add you to my friends list thing. I'll give you one guess as to what mine is. One.

As for the game itself, I've yet to see an ad after four hours of gameplay. A couple crates had a AE* type logo, but I don't think it was a real company. Also, the screenshots/movies just simply cannot do the graphics justice. With everything on medium/low, the guns look real and the gameplay is super smooth. The skies are probably the best part... extremely realistic. Can't imagine what everything looks like maxed out.

Glad I picked it up. Was going to finish FF7 this week, but plans have changed.
