<_< Meh I go as far as to cover as much healing as possible on the NIN (and to a lesser extent myself) in both the air and the ground, though I really need an ethereal and surcoat if I want to do it as efficiently as possible. I find that the easiest way to keep a hate line equal with the other tank is to cover them with cure IV's when applicable.

2 pld/nin, 1 nin/drk seems to work the best imo, I agree

For Tiamat at least, if everyone has good fire Resist gear I find that PLD/NIN and 2 NIN/DRKs works best. NIN/DRKs hate destroys PLD/NINs on the ground, and with Fire Resist gear and Valor Surcoat PLD/NIN can almost entirely cover the healing in the air.

That works too.

The biggest problem with pld/nin is that so many people don't have a fking clue how to use it. They take their pld/war gear, change their subjob to ninja, and just hit flash every 25ish seconds and wonder why they have no hate.

Yeah to be completely honest I dont even have a PLD/WAR set. If I can do something by voking it chances are I'm not on PLD anyway <_<

Most of my gear for PLD/NIN and PLD/WAR is fairly constant, since I don't believe in VIT. Belt, Feet, Back, and Neck changes, I think that's it.

And pertaining to what Xavier said about no one knowing how to play PLD/NIN since I started doing it it has definetly improved my entire game as a PLD. Learning to rely solely on your curing for hate more or less (tbh I forget to flash alot, curing gives enough hate as is for me 90% of the time) provides a big change when you go back to /WAR
