Another a good idea would to have NPC for hire (Maybe weekly pay), whom could teleport you or your LS members to Teleport-Crags

I'm not sure what's more funny, the chance of a mt in that situation, or that the situation is about something in the game dropping for white mages.. Both are pretty funny jokes.. :DOriginally Posted by Dank
lol very true Miji. I did just get my Cleric's Briault the other day though![]()
the other side to the "creation of guild items" is that would mean that there is 1 person in control of all the items, instead of the individuals. giving a LS leader that kind of control has been proven to be a mistake to begin with.
ls leader has a cry fit and disbands the LS and poof there goes everyones items. ls leader get sick of the game and wants to quit so he passes leadership to another member, has to break mainpearl so another can be created and poof there goes the LS gear. ls leader wants to rmt his shit and goto wow, poof he just make like 100times what he could have got before by being in control of 4 ridills, 10 mbody, 10 ebody, 10 dalmantica instead of 1 of each.
making them in control of every ex gained is very bad imo. SE devised the game so that items were hard to obtain, if they wont change fafnir loot/timer/instancing to make it easier for people to get this gear they definately wont make it so all you need to do is farm a certain amount and pass it around.
I'm sorry, but I just want to understand one thing better...
Problem: We want an "officer chat log" option, as an alternate medium of communication... BUT we all realize that PS2 limitation is the reason why stuff like this will never be implemented.
Solution: Hi2uVentrillo!
Chances are, if you play on PS2, and don't have access to a PC, you are part of the problem. What you need to send to the DEV Team is a petition to suspend PS2 service. That would be the best thing for our "memory limitations". Of course, we all know that is just a hilarious idea. So, in a sense, the title of this thread should just be "Very Wishful Thinking".
I don't mean to sound like an ass, but usually when someone has a good idea, they have already considered the pros and cons of said idea, before going to the next step... sharing!

A couple ideas that I read, that are great, and would help out the most: The linkpearl moniter would be fantastic. It really wouldn't help me out directly, but it would save time to any LS leader(s) who've had to remake a shell in the past.
And (lol) at the rare/ex collector! There is such a thing now for the rare only stuff... Its called "I'm quitting the game, but selling all of my LS-received stuff in my mules bazaar, without telling anyone, which in turn will be reverse RMT'd." Those have been around for a while now.
The majority of the JP player base uses PS2, not PC; they will never get rid of PS2 support.
Oh, of course. Wasn't a serious idea at all.Originally Posted by XaocRamuh
something I forgot about EVE's guild system is the whole "leader and officers" has it control over how much say the leader actually has. So if say your LS leader is unfairly hording items/gil etc and the mass of the LS finds this true its possible for the officers to actually eject him as leader of the shell. Granted this would change the state of how shells are run but it also puts the control of the LS in the hands of its members as well when the time arises.
Ya I'm pretty much in agreement with the above post too about ex items, I don't think I would ever want to adjust something like that.
However, a viewable LS bank would be nice. Or a way of having loanable LS items for a set time. So people can share Vermy cloaks and scorpion harness jujitsu gi and things like that while levling jobs or doinig BCNM or other level capped things. Then when the timer is up it returns to LS storage.
The game has a TMP tag for Temporary Item, why not use that?
Item goes into LS Pool: Kraken Clubs and Osodes come to mind, but lower levels could have SH/Hauby. Also dynamis currency. Any LS member can talk to an NPC to view the pool from a certain zone or from a certain NPC, like viewing your storage from outside MH, you wouldn't be able to access it, just view.
You can get permission to borrow said item from LS bank, and you get that item as a TMP for a) however long the shell or sackholder allows it. b) only equipable or useable as long as you have the assigned linkshell equipped.
After it's designated time is expired, Poof. Out of your inventory, back to the Linkshell pool.
heheh, my LS house would smell like booze and bong tokes lol. But at least we have 6 people with 95+ cooking
Another idea that would be helpful is giving the person trading the hourglass to start dynamis some options to remove players from Dynamis.
I have seen issues with players getting into a dynamis that shouldn't or someone lotting on something they shouldn't and really if you piss off someone in dynamis your screwed if they drop party so you cant D2 them out. They can basically lot the whole zone against you on everything and you cant remove them from the zone.
Ya, that's a big problem. Like a year and a half ago I went to this open Dynamis run and somebody invited this stupid guy that nobody wanted in there. Smitz was his name, he lotted everything that dropped while sitting by Ru'lude mog house. The kid stole a kclub about a month later also, and sold it and ran around with +1 everything.
I think the lesson there is don't have stupid people give other people glasses!
SE is very behind in their linkshell system.
In most other MMOs, chat channels = a linkshell. However, you can have as many chat channels open as you want. 1 to talk to other crafters, people of the same job as you, people looking to party, people looking to sell/buy/trade goods, your friends, your "linkshell", your "other linkshell" etc etc.
I don't buy into the PS2 limitation excuse. Everquest Online Adventures (PS2) had nearly all the same functionality of EQ1 when they released it. And it came out not long after the original FFXI PS2 JP release.
No one else does either, but they know that is the expected response.Originally Posted by loial
Actually I think that "PS2 limitations" is a mistranslation for "we are too damn lazy to do anything that would require real effort". But maybe I am cynical.Originally Posted by Norelco

btw, I don't think LSes are suppose to be guilds and are naturally free by nature. I don't know why this is even worth thinking about really.
Well, we'll know they're full of shit for sure in 5 years when they release their next MMO that isn't on the PS2 and we still get "PS2 limitations" as an excuse...at which point Sage Sundi's robotic head will start sparking up and springs and coils bounce out of his cyborg neck.
