anyone ever get an email saying that you would be able to see Mars as clear and big as the full moon during august 22nd-30th or something like that?

it's because it's only visible in areas where there is virtually no light. So if your near a city or even a suburb, you won't be able to see it.

A couple of years ago, the Northern Lights were supposed to be visible in Chicago, they were there, but you couldn't see them since there's so much light in the area.
