Comp troubles

Figured i'd post here before anyone else. Processor % being taken up by the program scan32.exe

its eating alot of my processor space, and also my comp is using alot of ramm and unable to run multipul processes. Could this be because of scan32?

If you need more info I can post it here or reply in PM's

Dell inspiron 5100
Windows XP Home Edition
2.8Ghz Pentium
512MB Ramm

Does anyone know of anything that I could do to help this problem?

That's a McAfee Anti-virus process, and yes it could be the problem. Try disabling, or even uninstalling if you are able to reinstall, to see if it's the root of the problem.

I've had troubles with McAfee in the past. Finally just got rid of it.

Get AVG Free, McAfee likes to fuck things up.
