Wii Reservations Start 10/13

I never actually got a new released system, I always ended up waiting a month or so for the second / third shipment, I just called toysrus and they said they arnt going to preorder, I called my local EB and they are only getting 12 reserves.. so im really really contemplating the idea of waiting before the store opens tomorrow..

I'm in exactly the same boat... I usually just wait a few months after new systems are released to snap one up... but for some reason I'm REALLY excited to get a Wii.

Also follow up on my WTF post. After the corp office "had the district manager check into the issue" I called my EB today and asked when I'd be able to get a Wii pre-order and was told "Tomorrow morning at 10am when we open" hehe.
I'm gonna take a "break" at about 9:45 from work and park my ass in front of EB till they open.

Yea I have never done this before either. Is 15 minutes enough, or would I need to be there at like 9 I wonder.

15 Minutes depends on how busy your EBSTOP is going to be. For my small local one? probably enough. For some place like a college town or a city? You are fucked.

Yea Im hoping 15 mins is enough... I'm lucky to work literally 1 block away from EB but I'm supposed to be working.

My EB is the store on Sunset and Vine in Hollywood and I dont know how many nerdy ass gamers there are in my area that would create a problem for me. There are also 3 other EB-Games stores in the area so I'm hoping I dont have to fight too hard.

I dont know if I should bounce to form a line for an hour. I know I could get away with it but if I'm gone for more than 30 mins my boss is totally unable to function and I'll be getting a call every 5 mins to see when I'll be back or for help on how to do something he's done 100 times before.

I guess Ill just keep running downstairs to see if there's a line forming and if there is I'll run down there.

Got my preorder in this morning, only arrived 30 mins before they opened. Got my Wii, Zelda, Trauma Center and Red Steel preordered. YAY

I was at the EB from 2 am and was 2nd in line. They started turning people away at like 9:30 though.

Got there at 8am when the mall opened, was the only one, 5mins before open (10am) 3 others came, 5 mins after open 5 more came. This store only had 8 reservations to give out. lolz, I kinda figured id be the only one there, but damn, guess they came from work. Plus there are 6 GS/EB stores within a mile, 3 within easy walking distance lol. I told my boss I wouldnt be in till 11 because I needed to take care of something.

Retro = $19.99
Remote = $39.99
Nunchuk = $19.99
Tax = 6.5%
Total = $404.65

Rservation Cost = $85.00

Lanuch day total = $319.65

Kekeke, not too bad. Thinking about getting a 30$ warranty, then probably will buy a gig SD card for 20$ some time down the road, I think the built in 512 will last a bit.


Expesive month though, also getting PSU and FFXII so thats another $100

Yeah, kinda happy i didnt go today because i just dont have that kind of money to spend right now. I'll try and get it for christmas, we'll see how it goes. My friend is on top of the preorder list for both ps3 and wii, gonna see which i like better that way.

I really only want Zelda and DMC4... not worth 900$ for both lol

Just came back from EB... there were already 30 people in line 30mins before the store opened.

Guy told me they were only getting 18 pre-orders a few days ago so I lose anyway.
