From what I've noticed, it's not about the Weapon Skill as much as it is about the occational 3x damage(which can stack with critical hits) and the base stats (attack/accuracy +20, high base damage, low delay, etc). I'm pretty sure I've seen Stellar (Kikoukow/e Katana) do 600+ in a single hit. The WSs are pretty much just extra icing on the cake, unless you're SAM where all you really worry about are renkies.... So being able to open/close light/dark would pwn.

We've all seen how pwn Aegis is - even after the shield patch (someone find that picture of Aspid hitting some AegisPLD for 1 damage.... lol I can't find it atm, school comp).

Sounds pretty believable. I Sneak Attacked a troll for 800, which was followed by another person in my party doing Rampage for 700.

I've always wondered if dual wielding a single handed relic gimps your long term dps as opposed to not using an offhand weapon with /war.
With dual wield you are increasing the time between swings of the relic weapon and the 2-3fold damage effect triggering.
