40% in a PT with 2 wars, hey u might as well say u did 90% so ppl can go WOW, but the fact is, ur relic GK won't out parse a ridill war at merit PT, i.e the puks ur hitting, infact, if u were hitting puks, ur relic GK won't even outparse a DRG with love halberd, however u can dream on X)Originally Posted by RKenshin

Can you find the triple damage proc![]()
Also like you, I'm amazed by the WS. a 60% STR modifier on a 1-hit WS with a 3x fTP modifier is just flat out ridiculous, end of discussion.
By the way, how strong is the Attack down? Can you test it in Ballista?
Are we playing the same game? I'm almost positive you cant have much if any better gear for SAM, you can't say the same for that DRG. He is fighting "...Puks, Skoffins, and Mamools..." not just puks, which I would still like to see the drg that would outparse him.Originally Posted by Moggy
Grats on the relics guys, just a few more who'll testify that relics > all.
@ Moggy, Ridill WAR isn't the end-all-be-all anymore, sorry. Merit PTs are all about who gets off the most WS and when, and there's simply no other jobs that are going to TP faster than a fully merited SAM/WAR while retaining their DoT and WS damage, especially now with the updates.
There's some other factors like WS damage, but its pretty clear Kaiten + attack food + Berserk has no trouble keeping up with the top WS for any job. A-/A+ skill + merits + Torque allow relic users to eat attack food instead of sushi, unlike Ridill WAR.

LOL @ suggesting Rukenshin is delusional or making anything up. Have you seen his gear? Do you have any clue what you can do to parser results with a big one hit WS vs. multi hit WS?Originally Posted by Moggy

LOL...I was in a party with a Sam who had relic weapon and he was doing way too much damage. We had Ridill war,BB monk, +Nin and that SAM (war sub) was tanking the whole time. Im not saying he outparsed them because i dont have that program but he damn sure was doing 1400 WS on a regular basis.Originally Posted by Moggy
Heh ya I need to update my sig. I got my sword at 3 in the morning so I even forgot to SS the "Obtains Excalibur and 30 M silver. I just went in and frantically SS as much as possible. Bottom line though, after 14months of work I fix's the sylph lack of NA relic, and it was all worth it.
There are a LOT of people I am in great debt to. This seriously wasn't just a personal effort, or even solely a LS effort. I had the support of most of the community, NA and JP alike.
I'd have to say thanks to all the random people of sylph that donated bills straight off the street. I had countless numbers come to me just for the sake of "Just get us a relic"
I know many of them don't come here but I have to thank a lot of players from the JP community as well. A lot of people hate Alicevirgin but she actually was a tremendous help to me. She already has her sword so she proved to be an awesome source of information and encouragement, especially for my Animated Sword fight. After having lost that fight 3 times she finally told me "We did my sword with 22 people" and got me remotivated and my LS tore it apart. I said it earlier but it was sickening how fast 36 people can absolutely destroy one of those swords in a matter of seconds. I had a handful of others from the JP community help me with bills as well, keep up on trades, or selling to me at good rates.
Another information junkie I have to thank is Lordwafik. I PMd a lot of people on how to kill stuff and he gave me the most information and put up with my annoying questions. Big thanks, especially on the attestation strategy.
Even though they are no longer with me, and the friction between the to of our LSs causes a lot of drama, I have to thank the core members of the Gods LS that were with me when I started it. They offered a lot of their support and donations as well. Its really too bad there is so much BS revolving around our two LSs right now.
I
Firecure, wow this dude is nuts XD. A HUGE thanks to this guy. I barely knew him as another NA working on relic. We would chit chat once in awhile but other then that we were acquaintances. Then out of the blue this guy hands over 50 M silverpieces @.@. I couldn't believe it, neither could anyone else, and I am greatly in his debt because of it. Even at the end their when I was frantically searching for billls he was running around sylph and picked up 74 bills in a matter of 2-3hrs. I got home around 9pm and started negotiations and searches until about 3 am in my effort to finally finish it. I can't thank Firecure enough.
Last minute loans and donations: Mordoc, Sarron, Angelhauke, Firecure, a few BR members, some close friends who asked to be anon, and the entire Skynet LS. (Skynet was running Dyn-SanD while I was searching. This was their second dynamis ever and they pulled out 578 sanD coins. FIVE freakin M silver XD. I think our personal best was only 350 and these guys scored nearly 600).
Most of all I'd have to thank my LS BlackRoses. They sure put up with a lot of shit and never once backed down from supporting me. I think we did a total of 11 attestation runs, including 2 wipes? (Pre-pop thos NMs or you will die -_-) and 8 or so misdrops. I had my third stage payed off for 2 months and couldnt get the right attestation to drop. I felt SO bad for dragging them out there so many times, but they assured me they were still with me. That means a lot. I had Hundreds of donations through my LS. When we let bills free drop, many of them came to me or were sold to me for super cheap. When the LS bank paid for the runs and gathered the 100s, they went to me. And they supported the decision to let me pay for runs and get all the D-money to speed up the process (Which does x300%). Ask anyone in that LS and they will tell you Im a stress magnet on T.S. I got pretty worked up a few times, but they still were with me. At one fragment, I was having a terrible day IRL and we get to the fragment and right before we fight I d/c like three times. Then when we engage and say "GO!" I d/cd and we were forced to half ass it. It frustrated me to no end and I blew up XD. We still went back and tore him apart the next week.
Ill never be able to thank anyone enough for their support and backing

Guess what!? I've already outparsed (albeit not the best equiped) Ridill WARs with just Hagun before I even got GK... It takes a little more than having a Ridill to make you a good DD ya know.
In fact, you seem to fail to realize this but I actually am a Ridill WAR as well, and in all the merits I've obtained from LS/pickup PTs at endgame I'm very well aware what they and other DD jobs are capable of. I'm skeptical as to whether I could actually come close to or match a decked out equiped/merited WAR, but I'll definitely have the opportunity sometime soon.
And I'm sorry to break it to you but, a DRG/WAR with Love Halbred sounds a lot better than it actually is in reality in my experiences. In the end I'm pretty sure most would still prefer a high damage Polearm.
The triple proc is almost scary at times. D:Originally Posted by divisortheory
Normally I'll just use Seigan right off the bat whenever we fight a Skoffin, I swear like every time one was pulled that PT I'd land a hit for like 300-500 damage or a crit for 500-700 just in time to eat Fang Rush or Deadly Drive. It's still really awesome when it procs though!
It's hard to say how much Attack Down is, but it seems to be considerable. Originally when I ran around and beat up Lesser Colibri when it landed it almost reduced the damage they hit me for by half. Then, on stuff like Skoffins when it landed I'd get hit for 90-110 in defense gear versus 150-180.
I could try some Ballista testing next chance I get, seems like it's a nice attack down.
No plan to get Ifrit's Bow since I alternate Tiphea Sting for melee and Sachet for WS, which in the end is probably more efficient than keeping the bow on IMO.Originally Posted by yayaok
No plans to go for Ace's Helm either, I'm just about hitting the acc cap with Turban as it is currently so I prefer the 1% Haste. I also have a Cursed Kabuto-1 sitting around waiting for whenever I get the abjuration, and I'd definitely use that over Ace's for WS.
I also don't really like bothering people with such a frustrating NM, and the only two times we killed KV it dropped just an earth crystal. -.-
Spend some time playing around on SAM/THF and try a bunch of standalone Sneak Attacks. Eventually your triple damage will proc there, and you can get a ridiculous screenshot for your sig lol.Originally Posted by RKenshin

Already had one for 706, and I think that I may be hitting the crit cap at around 306 to 315 or so. Nearly all of my normal crits landed for 306 on the dot on the exp mobs, although later messing around in Ronfaure I hit 315s.
Either way 706 is pretty close to the highest it could be, it made me laugh when the Puk went from like 20% HP to 0 just from one swing though. XD
Something to note, I did a few quick tests with the sea gorgets since I never found concrete info on if they work or not with the Relic WS. It turns out Breeze Gorget works with Kaiten (Fragmentation, Light) but Flame doesn't. So it would seem the gorgets only work with the level 2 SC elements of the WS.
Do you have a Light Gorget? I'd be interested in seeing if it modifies the WS the same, more, or not at all.
I'd wager that it doesn't, if flame doesn't. Light (on the gorget) is just a single element like fire.
I don't actually.
Currently have Soil, Snow, Flame, and Breeze Gorgets and don't really plan or need to get anymore other than one for Penta Thrust some time down the road.
But I'd wager that it wouldn't as well, the light SC property element itself is Compression (I think) so it wouldn't really make sense if Light worked and Flame didn't, since Kaiten doesn't actually have a Compression element.
Just a complete random thought. Does your base attack say 496 come into play with the amount you WS with the Modifier like 3.0 or 2.5 or 2.0 something like that, without buffs or SA, brd, etc.
Because I have been seeing most relic WS's hit between 800-1400 without thf subbed.
