As more double relic plds are popping up, I was wondering about the optimum setup for pld/nin. I usually just maximize emnity/haste and shield block for ichi. Use ares when need mp, valor when I dont.

But most of the time I dont wear much acc, other then some homam. With sword I assume you want to maximize your damage output while still keeping hate, so your not sacrificing your tanking ability for boost in damage. So what gear changes would you swap/make? I assume haste/emn/acc build, and eat sushi. I just feel nakid when I am eating sushi on anything that hits hard, but idk.

I'd just do something like this:

Main: Excalibur
Sub: Aegis:
Ranged: Lamian Kaman +1
Head: Turban
Neck: Fortitude Torque or Peacock Charm
Ear1: Ethereal Earring
Ear2: Loquacious
Body: Ares or Homam
Hands: Homam or Askar
Ring1: DRing/Shadow Ring/Sattva Ring/Herc Ring
Ring2: One of the previous
Back: Cerb Mantle (+1)
Belt: Haste belt, Speed or Velocious preferred
Legs: Homam
Feet: Homam

And still eat Tacos.

You're not really sacrificing anything except for your body and neck slot, but with 8 Sword merits, all that homam, and a Fort/Peacock you should have no problem hitting at least 70% accuracy on most HNMs, which is pretty good.

Of course this is definitely NOT a setup you'd use while low-manning HNMs due to survivability/TP gain, but it'd be fine on Tiamat, Khim when it's above 35%, and Cerberus.

Homam hands/legs are obvious.
Body could be swapped between that and lolHydra based on MP.
Maybe hydra head over turban if your not eating sushi, or perhaps turban will yeild you better results. I dont really use turban except for macro Ni, Kaiser head for Ichi macro, and baha mask for flash/JAs.

I usually leave my af+1 feet on most of the time, unless kiting.

Rings are pretty obvious, but what about earrings. Ethereal stays on my full time, but with excal: suppa? brutal? emnity? cassie?

I dont know, will be fun to play with. I am not seriously focusing on finishing sword till they come out with the nyzle relics, so I have some time.

I made a full HP Build that has 1800 HP without food (I have MP merits, don't plan on taking them out) for screwing around, but I don't want to change my tanking style that much because It will just turn me into more of a dd

Do you feel the sword was worth it? Significant improvement in ability to solo, low man things, NMs, HNMs?

Didn't really get it to solo, if I want to solo I can do it on my red mage. I got it more for those low man HNM in the mornings and just all around another piece to being my PLD even better. The additional effect has been highly underrated by everyone and I was surprised by how much it went off, in a merit PT with double March it went off basically every fight (got a few 3x) and in 70 fights amounted to almost 20k more total damage. I did a small PT earlier today and posted about it @ http://stanislav.ex-online.com/. Is it worth it? Definitely, but should only be gotten if you already have Aegis.
