Yeah, this jp guy is in the same jp ls that routinely kills AV with ease.

Someone having 8 relics wouldn't be at all surprising to me. What would surprise me is that they were able to get all 8 without the general population finding out that they had 3 relics, or 4 relics, and so on.

If you quit the game with a mule with maxed gil (which LOTS of people had back in the day that NQ Haubergeon was 20M) and came back today you could easily pay for 8 relics. The problem would, of course, be finding enough currency for all of it (this alone would take over a year, at the rate at which currency enters the economy).

What is the obsession with people who have relics, but don't have the absolute best gear in every other slot? I don't quite understand why someone with relic GK has to have a Hauby +1 not to be a gimp. What's that all about?

A friend of mine told me that to get from stage 1 to stage 5 requires approximately 70m-80m gil. Is that an accurate figure? So if someone wanted to, they could buy 70 mil and have a relic in less than a month? I am aware of a few people on my server who have a fully upgraded relic and are rumoured to have bought the gil for it - it could however just be jealous/stupid people spreading lies.

Welcome to the real world, where a lot more people than you realize have divisortheory'd their relics. It's the sad truth, but it is in fact true.

It's more like 85-120m for a relic now, without including the loan.

Obvious fluctuations depending on your currency prices and which relic you choose, but that's the general range with Bynes at 6-8k, Ordelles at 9-11k, and Whiteshells at 7-9k.

Unless I'm horrible at math, if you have a shell that lets you sponsor Dynamis and you do a city a week it's going to be considerably less.
