My Ninja is only 54, but I'll try:

TP gain: Dusk+1, Chargers Mantle, Divisor Ring, Speed Belt
WS: Cerb+1, and isn't Optical Hat/B.Kote > Shura/AF+1 hands? I heard this from a new good ninjas (one parsed both and swears by bkote on ws)

I got mine fairly early (2/06 I believe) and (at the time) I was the main tank for my ls on Nin
(already had shadow ring/mantle, no Pld) when I got my Katana finally upgraded I expected a major Emnity boost from the damage without having to wear dd gear and use my tank gear (had a macro for the mantle for "Oh shit utsu is down" and usually kept the ring on depending on the mob) and didn't level my emnity merits because the ls would need me rdm on a lot of events. Then low and behold often times duo tanking with another nin I would find this asshat pulling hate with his haub+1/emnity merits and it would really chap my ass. Don't get me wrong the katana is as good as it gets for nin and the proc is awesome for soloing, low manning things but (as far as I'm concerned) is only useful in a proper DD nin setup. Granted this was before salvage gears, etc maybe things have changed.. maybe not.

Edit: on Nin/War this would happen often never on /drk.

I'll try too :

Charger's I'd never use just because I'm 100+3 leather and want cerb +1 more, sold my dusk +1 hands to fund kikoku but yeah, until full usukane those would be better ; ; others, yeah ; ;

Ohat / Bkote would only beat Shura / AF+1 hands in 1 of these 2 situations 1) 1 BRD, getting march x2 or march / mad or 2) no BRD. With minuets you'll cap out on ATT early, with 5/5 STR merits I'm 75 base, with +37 for WS with a decent mod build, and I only really reach the ATT cap on birds. So really, BRD / song dependant, but I do have Bkote / ohat

Edit for Titanss: One of the big perks of usukane is that besides from being the best full set for TP for NIN, it offers a shitload of EVA, so you can have the best DD TP set on with kikoku and still have +30?ish EVA for lowmanning / soloing. It's not a full EVA set but it does really unlock the potential of spharhai / kikoku and let you go at it a bit more, even has some enmity +5 on the feet too

Did you expect it to do your laundry, clean your house and blow you too? Seems your expectations were a bit unrealistic.

In 0/6? Yes I expected it to do all those things.Thats why now it is common knowledge(or should be) strive for gear> relic. Always. He asked for my opinion. I gave it. Same thing when Bikkwin got his Excaliber(1st relic for BG) back in the day. Sometimes they don't live up to what your expectaions and with all that work out the window it leaves you bitter.
