Maxx is right. And sure, you can play DRK safely and never activate LR or SE and even sub NIN so that you don't take hate or damage! But that wouldn't be a very smart idea, would it?

Any good DRK can outparse most dual-wielders without Souleater, but against an equal-geared WAR/SAM, DRG/SAM or SAM/WAR you normally don't stand a chance unless you use it or have a relic.

It'd be like saying WAR/SAM could parse well without Zerk/Aggressor. Souleater is our most effective damage dealing tool, but the problem is that there's a much larger downfall to using it than there is with Zerk/Aggressor.

Well, that and 6 hit and Hasso... and nowadays, SCing randomly with people is wicked damage, 2 Sams + Me flinging occasionally 300-600 Dmg Induration and Fragmentation's isn't something to ignore.

Guillotine+Raging Rush do Indu/Frag depending on order, and geared equally, Drk/Sam and War/Sam will often Tp at a very similar rate, I loved meriting with a Drk friend of mine for that, only times we didn't get TP within a second of each other was Feather Tickle or Meditate, but usually it was just an orgy of SC's, pre-SC adjustment.

Mostly posting to add that, and get the total posts off the 6666... and to congratulate people for not bitching about gear in a while!
