Resurgance/Empyreal broke up approx a month ago. Some of their members were absorbed into Whirling Wind.Originally Posted by Tricen

Why'd they break O-oOriginally Posted by DAKPluto
Not sure the full reasons. I know there had been a few leadership conflicts/issues, but I think it was more than that.
Pretty much the shell had been in a slow downward spyral since Resurgence. A major fight broke out when a sackholder took Koga Tekko for her mule over a few other Ninja's, and it blew out of proportion. Eventually backstabbing, and turning on people behind their backs became a popular thing to do. One sackholder left for another server during this entire mess, leaving only Therin while Arethal was on break visiting her parents. When she got back and the trouble makers were kicked, a bunch of people left along with them and joined the loot whore sackholder's new linkshell, who conveniently quit when she got her Novio and Dalmatica. From there, the sackholders had major disagreements on the direction and leadership of the shell, leading the shellholder to leave, and us to repearl to Empyreal. Sackholder disagreements were still frequent, and even with our boosted claim rate, it wasn't enough to keep people happy, and shortly after Therin got his Hauteclaire, he decided he had enough of the bullshit of constant arguments and left leaving one sackholder. We were pretty much forced to draw out of the HNM scene from there, only claiming one KB and maybe a Khim or two after that point. So naturally, people started leaving. Eventually I got sick of wiping to things like Kirin, and called it quits to play WoW, and the other main tank/sackholder quit to persue his real life leaving only one sack yet again. From there, things were being canceled from lack of tanks, and they decided to finally call it quits.Originally Posted by DAKPluto

All this says is one LS is consuming around 20% of all the currency on the server.
Possible is all this says although my econ background does not understand how this does not send currency prices rocketing since others are earning gil and trying to buy currency too.
Anyway, there it is.
Sold another nlegs today and various other stuff, got half of the money for the next relic now. But hammer, no thanks. Sorry Izzy, but DD whm..no, just no >_> Thats not tempting me at all.Originally Posted by Neosutra
You really think that every zone is full 14 hours out of 24 every day? With an average of 30 people per zone per day, you would need 2520 people during dynamis twice a week without missing runs. You really think your 24 runs a day is correct?Originally Posted by Vodou

I throw out 24 as a point of reference since it avoids the debate over whether it would be a significant % of the total server currency if there were enough runs. Certainly 24 seems pretty high, but anyone can adjust the number to their own liking. Lets day its 16. Then the LS (and its members) are consuming 27% of the currency on the server.
So lets say at 16 runs per day, that 50% of all the currency is being kept by the original runners and that 50% is going up for sale. Then that means that 54% of all the "available" currency is being consumed by one shell ( the rest not being available.) Assuming the LS does its own runs and gets 2,000 currency total, then it buys 16,000 currency of the 31,600 currency that is available for sale. (16 runs a day x 14 days x 300 currency x 50% for sale less its own currency runs of 2,000).
Thats 50.6% of all available currency. Without going into the issue in depth, I just conjecture this seems odd without driving the prices up substantially.
Am i reading that correctly in thinking that you mean 16 Dynamis runs per day ??, Phoenix's English speaking Dynamis shells ammount to around 22 runs a week (that presuming that they all use the Dbums callendar, which i think most if not all do)... double that figure for the jp guys and your looking at around 44 runs per week - 6/7 runs per day.Originally Posted by Vodou
I know that you used 24 and 16 as estimates but 6-7 is more realistic reflection of how many runs are done a day.
"Pheonix", "English" these two words are things that hamper your ability to be taken seriously.Originally Posted by Rya

You cant base estimates off of one server and one time zone.Originally Posted by Izzy

pretty much. On Midgard there used to be atleast 14+ runs a day of dynamis before I left
