They have a multi-pearl system, timeout is the social pearl, vanguard is sea/sky/random event, protolimbus is another pearl, and chakra is their dynamis.

Though I'm not a regular poster in this neck of the woods, but I just had to comment on this.

Somehow, it seems you haven't played much in four, five years since it seems you haven't seen a linkshell wipe to Kirin before. You cannot expect every linkshell to be perfect in every little thing they do in this game.

I have heard of one of the major linkshells on my server wiping to Kirin sometime last month. Who cares? Every LS-- old or new-- will have a chance to wipe to Kirin. It's nothing new.

As for old(e) drama, whatever drama that LS has had with you or with another LS or person, get over it. Brush it under the rug or stuff it into the closet. It's not like it's going to ruin your FFXI life and your Mithra (Manthra) girlfriend in the game. Leave them be.

Anyway, back on topic, hopefully someday I'll be posting a screenshot of myself with a Gjallarhorn. Currently trying to get to Stage 3 and I'm completely self-funding this Horn all by myself-- absolutely no LS involvement until I need to get Attestation and Fragment when I get that far along. I've been working on it for a little over two years now.

However, congratulations to all current and past Relic holders-- LS or self-funded, it doesn't matter. You got something a lot of people wished they had.

To this and the other posters, let's make something clear, yes LS's wipe to Kirin and things happen. The difference here is that Stan and those who suck on Stan's dick talk about how badass they are all of the time and they're a "relic onry LS" and yet then they look like fools. I also noticed that when the shit was posted, they did/said nothing about it because they knew they looked like tools. I only posted here and brought up again because Stan opened his mouth again. I've also noticed that when it comes these arguments Stan can never argue for himself, someone else has to do it first and then maybe if he grows a pair and see's someone else has defended he might post. I'll keep the drama out if Stan learns to shut his mouth, after looking the fool so many times you think at some point he just might get it. Maybe when posts on his next anon account he can.

Seriously wipes happen, even when my LS wipes to stupid shit I can still see the humor in it. 18+ bodies in a pile below an angry NM is just funny as hell. Doesn't matter what their pearl says.
