Actually I have not clue what DRKs carry around. And there is nothing much to cast when you have a god damned scythe raping shit ;p

lol i macro in all int and dark magic skill gear when casting shit, i have something like 330 dark magic. Those are TP gear...

If you can't use Drain/Aspir/Drain 2/Absorb-TP/Abs-Acc/Dread Spikes you are a pretty terrible DRK. Ok, Abs-TP takes a bit of skill and knowledge for the timing, but still, the only times when you shouldn't cast any spells are: against undead obviously, against stuff you can't land shit on, and when you're in all out rapeface mode.

That said, INT isn't very useful. It has the minor MAcc bonus, but we don't get enough INT on anything except Abyss Gauntlets to be useful, and I use Crimson hands over those anyways. MP is somewhat useful, but since you don't rest or convert or anything, it is unlikely you'll be at cap if you're casting on things. You probably are finding a balance of how many spells to cast based on how much refresh you have and how well aspir works.

When you're in super rapeface mode, yeah (IE optimal songs, Hasso, etc)

Let me put it this way though: It was Rukenshin who disseminated that, and he has full Dark Magic merits for a reason. Proper use of these spells is absolutely necessary to make DRK a good and useful job. If you can't use them, you seriously suck.
