I don't merit SAM, 2box COR only and yeah that was on GColibri with 4/5 Homam, Swift Belt and maybe an Acc ring, to be fair he doesn't have Suppa and was using HHarpe/Sirroco, but nothing could save him from coming near me in parse on THF.

No Suppa, no Sirocco, and Garuda's Dagger/HHarpe.

pretty much. the stereotype of "omg thf suck@ merit pty" is getting old. MG can outparse mandau's with his X knife/blau, that dude was born to play that job, hes like an elvaan Archain. Getting gear for thf is half the battle, knowing how to play it is the other half. There will never be another thf like him in Garuda at least.

I think if anything it's become more relevant with the 2 hand buffs and all the shit SAM got when THF only got a few more damage on their weapons in the past years.

You say you have not yet parsed against a "good thief", then go on to say that you believe it's relevant a THF could not keep up against 2 handers? I'm pretty sure there have been a few Mandau parses posted on this board, enough to at least attest that THF can keep up in a solid merit party with sam, war, mnk, etc. My merit parse experiences (though they are limited due to me being on ps2) are all very even and well rounded, with me even coming ahead of a few mnk and war (have yet to parse against a sam, drk etc.). I think your narrow minded attitude in the argument is in result of playing with nothing but mediocre THF.

No point derailing the thread more about THF, if anyone on Hades would like to parse just send me a tell and I can post the results here if they want, til then both sides having nothing to support their arguement but their opinions. Although in true BG style, I expect nothing but; "their gear sucks" or "their play style sucks" so there's no point even going there but I will if anyone wants to.

Ive seen your rdm, if that gear is any indication of your drk gear im relatively sure an AH thf could put up a good fight for 1st place on that parse

Paging Shamaya to the thread, I demand some parses showing how great a good THF can be.

Now, I don't claim to be a monster WAR -- 20% haste, capped merits across the board, but no adaberk/ridill, whatever. But I can barely keep up with fantastic THFs at most camps, not just birds. A THF who is very well geared and who (more importantly) knows how to play the fucking job is an absolute monster. I regret you've never seen one, Starr, but you are just plain wrong.

Oh how these last few posts from Starr really really disturb me. Starr, I don't usually stir anything up but I woulda crushed you at mamools, trolls, fafnir, and definately birds. To be honest, it's harder for a well geared THF to parse a lot higher since they shine when they can constantly rotate SA or TA with WS. Usually Mandau THF end up having the bird facing them from pure DoT without the use of a WS.
